  1. @aupatking ... mine same mounting as yours. It does take contortion to go head first under the dash and then to get to that top left dog ear (looking from the back). Wish I could help as well....does seem like an odd (or unique) problem that @LoopSki is having.
  2. My ‘14 has an odd mounting....guessing it hasn’t changed. The display is sandwiched between the billeted aluminum bezel and the Fiberglas dash...no through holes in the fiberglass. Long socket head screws hold it all together and then those same 4 screws have another set of “ears” that are randomly poditioned to hold (or clamp) the display in position with another set of nuts to clamp the assembly to the fiberglass dash from behind. Bottom line...if those four nuts are not tight, those “ears” will swivel out of position and compromise the display staying in place. It’s an easy fix and once tightened, it stays in place. I have thousands of road miles on mine after the fix. The design could be better however...
  3. My wife too is my fav driver...has been for 28 years. My daughter a close 2nd. I’ll never forget the first time she pulled me through a course. I pointed and said....just drive as strait as you can right down through there (pointing to the boat path). Her response... “why do you want to ski through all that floating trash.??” oi6ns7tl60se.jpeg

  4. Skinny to average hand size with longer fingers here. So I struggle with size between M and L. Couldn’t get my L red 41 tails to stay Velcro’d on back of palm so went to the O’Brien x grip. Those were better for my hand. At the same time I got a pair of O’Brien pro skins for my daughter....in a M. I’m now borrowing those the last few times out. I love those things. But they may be discontinued now.
  5. @Justin you may be disappointed in the room of 200v. Look at it closely. I thought it was cramped in the seating area and the swivel board racks were great for denting your scalp in that small space if you had to swivel them in for some reason. We fit ok as a family of five, but there was little more room for others and their gear. We kept the boat for three years and went to the new ProStar. Have not looked back. Not trying to discourage you...I thought enough positively about the boat to buy it. But as a slalom first boat, hard to beat an open bow DD. Before that boat, I had a sport 216 with the TSC hull. It was actually a lighter boat with a narrower beam....did all things just as good as the 200v, but skied better.
  6. I bought one for the exact same reasons you are asking about. It worked fine, but my biggest complaint was for a family who slalomed first, I found the removable pylon a pain and there’s not a good place to store skis in the boat. Also, you can see the obvious differences in the slalom wakes in above pictures. It wake boards good but we did not use it for any knuckle dragging.
  7. At the risk of getting a ton of “quit eating cheeseburgers” comments...I’ll throw this out. Like so many bad habits in my skiing, I can’t seem to fix my breathing. Seems I find myself completely winded after a couple back to back sets. I find that when I do concentrate on my breathing rhythm , I ski tons better. Anyone else with same issue? What are you guys doing about it.
  8. On the sea deck, I had to replace a damaged panel of that same brown on an earlier boat. The new panel stood out like sore thumb as all the other panels around it had faded a bit. Also, when I called the manufacturer at that time, they said you need to get all of it at the same time as it was manufactured as a part of the same lot. It can be like carpet....with slight different hue if purchased off different lots of raw material. Even if it looks the same new, different lots can weather at different rates. Red flag to me on that new ski Nautique. Who knows maybe they’ve improved their processes by now....
