  1. Thanks for the feedback. I did find a nice 93 prostar 190 for around 10, if I could get that closer to 8 I would probably buy it
  2. It will be me skiing, my wife driving and my dog spotting. :o so I have the weight perfect... Just don't know about going out for a joy ride with it and running into big wakes from some of the go fasts etc
  3. Found a Boomerang near me that looks outstanding. New interior and great gelcoat. Has a carburated Ford 351 with 500 hours and I can get for around $8000, thoughts from the crowd on quality of 97 Moomba and using on a large lake. Only plan to use for slalom and barefooting and rarely go out in rough water, but want a quality feel to my boat as well...
  4. I talked to the guy in Mobile and he hesitated way too long when I asked if the boat had been used in saltwater, then I got the answer that it had been used in "brackish" water but that he would then hook up the hose and flush.... I don't think I'm willing to drive 11 hours to look at a boat that probably has some corrosion issues...
  5. I did see a 94 MC 190 for sale in Tampa with 400 hours for $8300 on SIA and it looks pretty good with a couple of scuffs and 2 small stitch issues on the drivers seat. The fact it has no trailer is also a bonus since I don't need one. But after having a mastercraft, I'm ready for a change and really think the Nautique is the way to go
  6. I'm concerned about saltwater. While everyone likes a good deal, I'm a bit leery of buying a boat from the coast. The trailer looks new which would indicate the original rusted out...
  7. That boat in Mobile looks very nice, and in my price range! Now I'm wracking my brain trying to think of who I know that is near Mobile that can check it out for me...
  8. Sweet, hope to find one like that! what did it run you
  9. Just sold my 2005 MC Prostar 209 (empty nest and my son was the boarder in the family). I have heard and read lots of good things about the 97-01 Ski Nautiques and it is between that and the 94 MC 190. I loved my 209 but think it may be time to try CC. I live in Virginia (Smith Mountain lake) but am willing to drive for the right boat. I also don't need a trailer as I still have my MC trailer. If anyone knows of a good solid low hour boat, please reply
