Same thing happened to me with my 99 Nautique, put on a spare prop and my boat ran faster. 34.2 felt more like 35-36. Set PP to 32.3 and it felt closer to the 34.2 I normallly ski. Come to think of it the spare was an OJ force four I believe. The prop it replaced was the stock prop for that year.

Great post @ToddL ! Should be required reading for new drivers/skiers. I am showing it to my girlfriend for a refresher.

Previous post from @Ed_Johnson "I have two of these switches available for half price if anyone needs one for either PP or ZO. "

I recently demoed a Lithium Senate and what I found is that the ski is very forgiving. I could make a lot of mistakes and still run the pass. Did not seem to require a lot of effort to accelerate either. If your a 30-32 MPH skier this would be a good choice.

@Jody_Seal pic was the first thing that came to mind when reading @BostwickLake205 use of automotive parts. Its just not worth the small savings.

Sweet boat! I just picked up an '06 196 yesterday. ZO will have to wait though. Should really jump with the ZR6!

Go for it! (RS 1) I bought one for my GF and she loves it. She free skis and is attemping the mini course. IMO its user friendly but will still take you far down the line.

I like the Nautique 206 same TSC2 hull as the 196 just a foot longer. As others have posted the Malibu Sunsetter would be another choice. Higher freeboard but still a decent slalom wake.

Hello ballers,
I am picking up a 2006 CC 196 tomorrow that has perfect pass with the slalom switch. Was wondering if anyone still uses this or has any experience skiing with it. Am planing to upgrade to ZO in the future but for this summer the switch will have to do. Thanks
Let's see your ski collection
