  1. Thanks for all posts, just joined this site today, what a great one it is too.. Will go back to 28, maybe 29, will let you all know how I'm getting on in a few week's..Such an addictive sport, just love it..
  2. Cheers for posts..... Gonna try a thirty on course then at weekend, unfortunately we can't adjust the bouy positions where I ski, might just work on trying to get a good one and two and just ski to the others and see how I get on. I agree though free skiied last weekend at 30 for first time and did feel like a totally natural skiing speed for me then any I've tried in the lower speeds..
  3. Hello gregy, I am ok at going just inside the buoys it's just once I start attempting that little bit further is when it all goes to pot... Even forgetting the entry gate's and getting an early one, I still struggle to get anymore than three to four buoys, as to why I asked about which speed to weight ratio I should be tackling as I seem to feel less drag and more comfortable on the ski when free skiing at almost thirty miles an hour, nicer turns no drag, but as soon as I drop the speed and attempt the course, I feel more drag from my ski and not as stable..
  4. Ha ha, yeah that's what I felt like I was doing especially coming out of my turns. Thanks again..
  5. Nice one... Started at 28, was getting better, but was advised to drop to 26 then 24, and seemed to get harder not easier to get around the buoys. Will try maybe 29 at weekend. Thanks..
  6. darrensimmons Hello, I am querying what speed I should be pulled at when attempting a slalom course due to my weight, height and ski size, because at present slower speeds feel too slow compared to going faster. I weigh 225lbs, 6 foot 2" and have a 69" synchro ski!! Any recommendations??
