  1. Hey ballers I recently had a look at kd skis website and browsed through their 2016 models. I have to admit that I didn't really know about them before and it seems like there is not much going on about that company in general. Is thereany reason why you hear not nearly as much about them as you can do with radar and the other companies ? I think that especially the 2016 Lithium, Redline and Ex look pretty appealing. So are those skis worth the money ?
  2. @Wish those pics are poorly photoshopped ... I would say that is a wooden board with some bindings on it. Hoax
  3. Hey ballers I'd like to know which ski you consider to be the most beautiful when it comes to graphics and design. If you have pictures it would be nice if you could post those and of course coustom skins etc can be posted as well :) Id like to start with my custom skin I ordered but unfortunately it has not arrived yet.
  4. @lpskier is there any difference between the orange 2015 GT and the one in this link ? http://m.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Connelly-GT-Slalom-Waterski-With-Right-Talon-Binding-Rear-Toe-Plate&i=839502
  5. @Glydon I don't think that those little pillar like things will change anything about the ability of the ski to flex under your foot compared to the boots we have now. Simply because as far as i can see there still is a plate under the boot.
  6. @lpskier I'm in the boat for some piece of GT information as well
  7. @TallSkinnyGuy and don't forget the badass carbon fiber look with the small red Prophecy badge.
  8. Hey ballers I've been doing some research on the Prophecy lately. From @Horton reviews I understand that the 2013 one seems to be more user friendly than the 2012. So what about the Connelly Prophecy 2014 ? Are there any improvements compared to the earlier model ?
  9. @Chef23 At the moment I am using some O'Brien X9 bindings that were flying around sice I ordered my ski without bindings (superlight TX). I also have a pretty good deal on some xMax bindings ?! And hardshells are prob too much for me right now since I only got into the course about 1 year ago.
  10. Hey ballers. I am considering to switch my bindings and my friend told me how great the animal boots he demoed were. So my question would be if anyone here has some experience with those bindings and if so : what do you think about them ?
  11. @Stevie Boy Can you maybe tell me which options exactly you found ? I want to try one too since I think that the TX looks too plain but I was only able to find one shop.
  12. @MAD11 What is MC ? You mean those http://www.montecarloskis.com/ ?
  13. Thanks everyone.
  14. So I recently received my new HO Superlite TX and am very happy with the ski. There is just one little question I have since it is my first ski that I own myself. How should I maintain my ski for a long and good life of it ?
  15. @eddie_roberts_jr sounds like a good alternative for him ... do you maybe already have a pdf for the 2016 product line like it was posted for HO in one of the discussions here ?
  16. Thanks everyone. The thing is simply that he is skiing behind the boat too and wants to hit the slalom course but just not as often. So thats why he is looking for a ski that is good for slalom behind the boat but can also be used at the slow speeds of the cable park without riding too low therefore making it unskiable. Would it make a difference if the ski is lighter ? For example choosing a wide and light ski ( maybe going for the superlite TX instead of the normal version ). Edit : There is no slalom course in that cable park he is justgoing there to practice his position on the ski and all that stuff like for example he is trying to make turns leaning as deep as possible.
  17. ok going towards the TX or Freeride then since ski like the CX or Connelly V are probably not good for both ( behind a boat at normal speeds and cable park at around 20-22 mph ) ?! Still open for advice ^^'
  18. His weight is around 165 lbs that is why i thought that the CX or TX could still be possible at that speed. And it would also be quite good if they would work since he wants to use the same ski to ride behind the boat (that is also why he wants to have a 67" ). So I guess the CX is not suited for speeds around 20-22 ? Then my next ski I could think of are either the TX or the HO Freeride ... @gt2003 we are both living in Germany that would make it a bit complicated to buy your ski :D
  19. Hey Ballers, My friend lives near a cable park and since he does not get to ski behind a boat too often he decided to visit the cable park to get at least a bit of training at lower speeds. He wants to get his own ski but has no clue on what to buy. So I told him that I would ask you guys for him. Apparently he is quite an advanced free skier and I thought about recommending the HO CX or even TX but I really do not know if those two ski can be driven at lower speed too. The cable park runs at only 20-22 mph most of the time. Which ski would you guys recommend ? Or are the CX and TX suited for those speeds aswell ?
  20. @aupatking No problem I am happy that i could help :)
  21. @aupatking If your question about the elliptical rocker is still up to date you should take a look at the 2016 catalog. It has a good picture of the rocker in it. There is a pdf in one of the discussions here http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/13975/2016-ho-skis
  22. Now I want to wait till the 2016 CX Lightweight is ready to order instead of buying the 2015 model ... when will those be sold ?
  23. Thanks for the answers I guess I will stay with my decision of buying the CX if the Tx is just wider. It really seems like a lot of people are getting into slalom these days but that is not too strange since it is a beautiful sport ^^ @Porkfight I always prefered to ride a slalom ski over combo ski or the wakeboard although a lot of people tried to convince me to go for wakeboarding
  24. Hey Ballers ! Since I was deciding on a ski lately I looked at both of the HO crossover models. So my question would be : what is the difference between the CX and the TX ? I guess I am just to stupid to find out myself. Thanks in advance ^^
  25. @Horton http://www.jobesports.com/products/slalom-skis/slalom-skis/defiant-slalom-ski/ http://www.jobesports.com/products/slalom-skis/slalom-skis/encore-slalom-ski/ I thought those two were looking quite good but I am really not sure ^^´
