  1. Our kids attended their first one here in South Aus this year & loved it.  It was definitely not just about the skiing, but the friendships formed.  Their skiing has improved since, partly from the coaching but I also think from watching others & seeing what is possible and wanting to tell them about their achievements.

Would love to get to the US one day for a camp for them as well as me!

  2. I thought I would ask here rather than start a new Thread.

I'm looking @ buying a 2017 Radar Lyric Rear binding to put on the front of a 2017 Radar Lyric. Are the holes the same Width? I understand the plate is longer on the rear binding and it doesn't have the extra set of holes (will look to drill them).

    Would this work?

Its to replace a friends binding as my wife had to be cut out of it (Broken leg).

    Cheers

  3. Lift not an option cost wise. We have an undercover park out the back and its easy enough to put in.

Will look at the Whips again but thinking we will still need fenders on the post for as we park.

With the large Sausage ones, I had looked at https://www.bigbumperaustralia.com.au/

but wasn't sure if we could leave it there all the time or have to take it out when not there, which we would then need to store.

    Cheers

  4. We bought an 03 Nautique 5 years ago and hasn't skipped a beat. Great boat to ski behind.

There is one similar currently for sale that's very clean and asking just above what your looking to pay.

The US built boats hold their value because they are so well built

  5. We are in the process of putting in some new poles and fender setup for our boat to sit against.

We are on a public river with wake boats so it does get knocked around a bit. Our current jetty has poles underneath so looking to put in 4-5 new poles and then brace it back to the jetty and run horizontal timber's along the front. Then thinking upright timers on that for fenders to attach as water level changes.

Interested to know what dock fenders people are using. Preferably something available in Aus or via Amazon Prime.

Hoping not to use the inflatable once we have the new setup

  6. Cheers all for the responses. I think I will go down the closed toe option.

Ultimately want the safest option after having my wife badly break her leg 14 months ago on a ski. Would love to upgrade to the MOB, but not in my price range at the moment.

Now I just need to find somewhere locally that stocks them to see if I fit the Carbitex as my foot is a little wide.

Thanks @perfski for the response. I am coming off just the standard Vector bindings on my Senate Alloy. If I was in the US, I would be sure to hit you guys up.

I will report back once I am on something new.

    Cheers

  7. Hey Ballers,

I have had the stitching come undone on both my front & rear radar boots the last time I skiied so time to upgrade.

I only ski @ 15 off, but hoping to improve that with some more time on the water!

Looking at options of either the Vector Boa, Pulse or the Carbitex Vapor Boot.

Advantages of the Boa are that anyone can still use the ski

Advanages of the Pulse - Enclosed toe, molded to my foot

Advantages of the Carbitex - Top of their options, no need to upgrade

Will be getting the Boat RTP to go with it.

Love to hear other peoples opinions or if there is something else I should be looking at.

    Cheers

  8. Cheers for the responses. Disneyland is the main reason for the trip so we wont be skipping that part.

Looking at doing Helicopter for Vegas. Will look into some of the other suggestions.

May change skiing to a day activity & just hire gear then to give us more time to look around, but still on my list to ski on a private lake.

Would be more than happy to chip in for fuel/whiskey if anyone in that area wants to give me a tow.

@tlarocque I will shoot you a PM now for some ideas for San Diego.

    Cheers

  9. @vtmecheng my Ski Nautique had the same engine & I got the hours pulled from the ECU. Gives you a breakdown of the hours in the rev range which is handy as well.

Mine didn't match what the owner said which just meant I lowered the price before committing.

    Cheers
