@Howa1500 my sister actually upgraded to a 200ob 2 years ago. She couldn't be happier. It's a much roomier boat as you will find. Another thing you will love is not having to deal with carburetors anymore.

I know you are really wanting a newer boat, but for the time being have you adjusted the wake plate on the supra to improve the wake? My sister had an 89 and there was a huge difference in the wake with plate adjustments.

We live in the area, unfortunately we don't ski there. We hope to soon though! Anyway, there is the coarse on Davidson Lake right next to lake norman. I know @DefectiveDave ski's there and there is the lake norman ski club as well as you havementioned. I dont know where the other courses are, but if I remember correctly it's on lnsc's website. If we had our boat there we would invite you out. Hopefully soon!

Somewhat off topic, but what do most people use to put their ski in while traveling? My wife and I are thinking of going to Florida to ski and are unsure of what to put our skies in.

@Horton I will say if it doesn't float the marketing image sure does allude to it!

I am very picky with my equipment but if I trust the individual and they understand my OCD then I don't have an issue letting them borrow things. Now I don't let anyone borrow my gloves and I cannot think of anyone ever borrowing my ski because I use Fogman's. I only let people I trust a lot to drive our boat, and that's with me or my wife skiing behind it! I think the biggest issue I have is when someone handles my ski to take a look at it. I will hover and monitor how they handle it to make sure they don't set it down wrong etc. My wife is the only one I don't have to hover over, she knows how bad my OCD is!

@xrated I feel like I chose the best doc within a 10 hr driving distance. Luckily I live in NC and I'm within a hr of Winston-Salem. The funny thing is he recommended that I ski on 2 the first couple of times back on the water. I quickly stated I had no desire to do so, and I would take it real easy on one! He is somewhat familiar with the sport and actually knows one of the places where I used to ski which is where I likely tore my labrum at.

Had a hip arthroscopy to repair a torn labrum and an FAI on 12/18/14 for my right hip. Was originally given a 6 month waiting window which would have put me at July 4th. Luckily I was cleared in April, but took it easy until the 4th. I would have had a hard time waiting until the 4th, but would have as I didn't want to have another surgery to repair the possible damage I would have caused. Best decision I have made was to have have the surgery.

I'm not a huge fan of the oil heaters because they can burn the oil depending on the wattage of the heater and if they have a controller or not. The probes I'm familiar with are typically in the 250w-1000w variation though. The fluorescent lights aren't phenomenal, but we only use the light method when it's borderline and only for a couple nights. After that we always winterized with rv antifreeze and good for the winter. I wouldn't recommend the rv variety for super cold climates though.

We've never had issues with a light in the bilge area. We do use a sealed fluorescent light though and make sure the bilge is drained. It also has to get pretty darn cold to damage something though. Remember that fiberglass is decent insulation.

Don't know where the OP is from, but most people in my area use a doozie. The company is located on lake Gaston and the owners have been around the sport for a long time. In 18 years we have only had to replace the gear set this past season.
I also 2nd @skiinxs, numerous people that I know have stored their boats by the eyes. I will say they are not course skiers but very easily could be.
