  1. I agree with Jordan and BSBELL and DW

I am a heavier skier and for me as I am getting up I stay tucked longer than most to the point that I can feel the tail of the ski on my butt.  This technique also helps me with different drivers and some that might just "hit it"  This can crush bigger skiers

Driver technique is critical for bigger skiers.  We need to go slow and progressive on the out.  This is counterintuitive.  "big guy, go hard" NO!

  2. When asked by my dealer when we are ready for our next new boat I told him "When they offer a heated steering wheel and self driving with inputs via GPS + a Vision system".  I love course skiing but I started so late in life and will never go to a tournament.  That doesn't mean I don't have goals and aspire to get better.  I want to eliminate as many variables possible.  My wife is a great driver and always available but most of the times I ski with buddies on the lake.  When I train with my wife as a driver I am nervous about running up into my more challenging passes.  This solution doesn't solve everything for me but it is exciting to see progress and innovation to address this problem.  I am all in and will pay for it integrated from the OEs

  3. We have to remove ours from the lake daily so we get lots of practice each season.  I can deploy it on my own with favorable winds in about 15-20 minutes and we usually use 2 or 3 people to take it out fast.  We did it from the ski boat once and never again.  So much better with more room and not having to worry about being so careful not to wreck the ski boat.

  4. This turned out great for me.  I was nervous to hit the course out of the gate so I free skied with it and was thinking this is not going to work out.   Decided the next day that I needed to get in the course and try it before I make the final call.  In the course it was great and I thank Bill for the advice.

For those looking for mods Bill has some he will share with you.  He sent me some pics of cut/trimmed over wraps to loosen up the binding.

  5. That is awesome.  A testament to the quality of these boats.  I would ski and drive that boat any day.  All the creature comforts and performance I paid for on my 2016 didn't increase the fun factor of my skiing.

  6. Hi BOS Team - I switched to the Radar HRT BOA in season 2021 from the Reflex R-style. I liked the Radar system but continue to have issue with the BOA system.  On my 21 the lace eyelets pulled out from the outer and inner layers so I ordered a whole new HRT boot this season.  Last week I had the laces break on the new boot and called up Bill at Performance Ski and Surf for a more reliable option going forward.  He recommended I try Wiley's.   Anything I need to know?  Concerns, etc.  I have a Radar Senate Pro, Reflex Front and get up with both feet in.  I should also mention the Radar team stands behind the product and is sending me new laces at no charge.

Im slightly confused on how 11.5” clears a 14” prop, plus its clearance to the hull. Are you saying you can drive right through the lift with this and there’s no way the prop can hit?

I have guide poles on the cradle to prevent going too far forward so it’s a non-issue for me, but still curious.

Correct.  It is has been a long winter. The fins only

The above will work but there is a risk of bumping the tracking fins if your lift isn't down far enough and the boat slide too far.  These measurements match the key points of the 4 bunk trailer. Maybe I worry too much.  My boat is 2016

  9. @swc5150  Not likely to find a new boat for under 100k these days.

Congrats on the Corvette and the great deal.  I am actually really impressed by the team at GM on the C8.  They must have really worked their butts off on voice of customer and value engineering to deliver an outstanding product at a relatively great value.
