  1. I finally did put an order for the OB4 system just because i liked the colors and finishing more then the MOB. and have been waiting for two days for them to actually ship my product, tried calling and there was not even a dial on the contact they supply on their page (Marianne Allenspach 816-586-2158). any ideas..?
  2. Hey guys I've been strongly considering moving from goode dualock to the OB4 release system for my slalom for a while now but something still keeps me from making the purchase and reflex doesnt quite convince me. Anyone with thoughts, experiences? pros and cons? thanks in advance p.d. also would be nice to hear any non-slalom ob4 thoughts. maybe some trick skiers out there??
  3. great info guys, I'll be going into surgery next week, in two weeks the latest, still searching for a specific date. you guys took some stress out of my head, really glad you people tld me your experiences..
  4. hahaha so bit of both alternatives.. did you try any alternatives before the surgery? haha thats not me, just a video of someone else i found for the purpose of the discussion. ive been trying to stretch the tendon so it would "slack" a little and avoid the surgery, but havent seen much progress on that front over the last couple weeks. Im sure asking because in that case, i would like to have the surgery sooner rather than later, you know? thanks for the advice!
  5. Hey guys, Im starting to have nightmares (quite literally) about this so i thought maybe someone else has been through this and could bring up my spirits. Broke my front foot ankle about 5 years ago, got surgery and since my ankle has been sensible some times on rough hits, nothing i couldnt handle, just a day or two off and ice would do. Because of that i moved on to a power shell and rtp on a two boot goode carbon plate. This worked fenomenally for me for over a year. I had been very careful taking care of my ankle since, but over a month ago I hit 2 ball which resulted in an ankle sprain, my orthopedist suggested a 4-6 week resting period. It will be 2 months in a week and Im still not ready for practice. Here is why: Im starting to get a subluxation (which hurts like hell by the way) on the peroneal tendons quite chronically (for those of you who dont know the meaning of that watch the next video and imagine that at least once every two days on a low activity basis: ) now my question, Has anyone been there? any good spirits toward the future? When I dont get nightmares i end up spending hours rolling in my beed on the thought this will limit my skiing somewhat permanently. That having in mind every luxation means sitting on the floor for at least 10 minutes immediately after the event.
  6. Here is a video I just found of a couple of months ago, I was recovering from a shoulder injury so dont kill me, that is with at 28 Off @58kmph, hope that gives you an idea
  7. My best friend lives in Atlanta and hasnt been able to ski in like four years (partly because of lazyness and partly because he knows no waterski site or people around. Any clues? Im traveling to Ft. Lauderdale on June and would like to plan ahead some passes.. any help would be VERY helpful for the both of us. thanks!
  8. its about 5000 a year just for access in my city (Bogotá, Colombia), that doesn't account for the actual skiing nor the aditional expenses to that, transport there and back without mentioning food...
  9. Thank you all a lot, I would love to give you a video buuut im changing skis right now, so I would expect the issue to be affected by that, maybe a couple sets of practice and then I'll show you guys a video. I'm new to the forum too so im still getting myself around. p.d. my easy pases are at 28 off, but thats on my previous ski, quite old goode.
  10. The guy who trains me says one should "keep the ski on edge after the wakes for an instant before changing it" in order to avoid the ski from being pulled straight into the bouy. He says the idea is for one to cross an imaginary line between the three bouys at each side of the course and then to edge change preparing for the upcoming bouy... Now a friend I havent seen in a loong time saw me the other day do a practice set and wouldnt stop saying one should edge change right after the wakes to avoid slack. WHO SHOULD I LISTEN TO?
