  1. Right eye Right handed Right foot forward BUT....here's the interesting part....i do everything left handed...lol....left handed stick in hockey, bat left handed in softball, kick left footed and golf left handed(i dont really like to golf) so go figured...lol
  2. @Razorskier1 you are right...and i do know this. Im told my shoulder will be like new... I have a fellow skier friend who has had both her shoulders done and rips it on the course now...stronger than ever...thanks for the encouragement...
  3. @Deke @Fam-man i did not make that comment and never would, but referenceing it......i have a very "high" tolerance for pain and i "NEVER" complain...its just not me....i feel great when im sore, have blisters and proud of myself after a set in cold water, when most ppl call me crazy....i call it "PASSION". If women want to recreational ski thats great....they can go at most "anytime" during the day....if you dont want women to get burned out or in a situation to listen to a bunch of fanatics, then maybe not have them participate in early morning/late evening sets when hanging out and talking is all part of the beauty of the sport....(in my mind) Thats one of my favorite things to do....and a lil bailey's in the coffee doesn't hurt either :)
  4. Hes is a quick recap of my shoulder (left)history injury: Injured my shoulder in my ice Hockey game in about "05" dislocated it....was able to put it back in myself....ever since the initial injury it has continuted to dislocate more and more, easier and easier. Everytime i dislocated it it gets more and more difficult to put back in and its very painful...i went to finally get it checked out and i have a torn labrum, bone spurs and my tendions are shot....dr. says surgery:((((......i put it off...shoulder continues to dislocate...mainly with contact....(barefooting, skiing, hockey and even once rolling over in bed on it)....after it dislocates, it takes a good 4 weeks until it is no longer sore and i have movement back....yet....i have lots of cracking, poping and sudden pain/pinching inside the shoulder......finally i schedule surgery in "15" i figure ill play hard...if it comes out ill get it fixed before surgery date, if not, ill go in as planned. Well..of course, my shoulder had absoluyly no problems, and i skied the best year ever. When time to have surgery me and the Dr. Re-evaluated the surgery...Dr. said i need it...shoulder is unstable and will only get worse with less and less mobility Call me dumb....i have yet to have surgery.....it only bothers me when and after i dislocate....other than that its almost like new, i would say i have 90% mobility with it now...i know i need surgery but im just not ready....my mindset is ill have surgery when i dislocate it and cant get it back in....i know as an athlete thats not the correct way of thinking...but im so active i struggle to take time off, i did take the first half of my hockey season off last year to rest it, but in the end i couldnt stand it and finished out the season...as with your injury...definitely needs medical attention....good luck and hope your back on the water asap....
  5. Absolutely @Fam-man ...i couldnt agree more with you....i actually didn't care for wakeboarding much "until" this year...and i found out that i like it "ALOT" So i know where your coming from..
  6. @Fam-man i "kinda" agree with your writings ...as the lady in your ski club....we are out here...blisters, cold water, early morning starts & soreness...is all part of the rush for me...."no pain no gain"... Its a PASSION....and you HAVE to have it...some do..and some dont...and that's perfectly fine.... Unless its your other half....lol...then that could cause a problem...just sayin'... ;)
  7. @Mrs_MS thanks......ive always been competitive and strive for the best i can be.....lol...just wish more women were out on the lakes....keep pushing and you will get it back....may take a bit of hard work, but the payoff will feel well worth it Always feels good after a set of skiing, running, hockey...anything that gets your heart pumping. ....even if it means alot of work....
  8. @Mrs_MS THATS great....sounds like you and your hubby have a great system and passion for the sport...and thats KEY.... Ive skied in FL twice and a clinic in MI with CP....all great experience...Keep the "Women" appearance going strong B)
  9. @6balls Absolutly agree there are differences between men & women.. Men will always be stronger than women....thats how it should be in my book......skiing requires technique, passion, devotation, drive and love of the sport......its an "Adrenaline Rush" for sure....all i can think is as i put it earlier....very few women have that "make-up" So to say.....i wish more did, i welcome more women......i eat, think, sleep how i can fit a set in.....is there any other clothing from late April to late October? other than a few necessary items: ski, ski vest, ski gloves, bikini, ski rope, lake, boat and nothing but glass water... <3
  10. We need more women like you in the sport and on recreational lakes for fun....@Mrs_MS
  11. You are a lucky man and shes a lucky woman... "Couples who PLAY together STAY together" @savaiusini (and some of us "Women" drive just as well as you men) ;)
  12. What ive noticed being on the lakes and skiing, (ever since i can remember) is that the men have their ski groups and "most" not "all" women/spouses do not have an interest in skiing or tubing or even throwing a frisbee or football..even if the women can ski, they dont want to get up at 6:30 am for the glass and would rather go out to dinner than wait till 8:30pm to let the lake calm down for sunset skiing....you HAVE to be PASSIONATE about the sport.....alot of women, and im talking late 40's' to mid 50's have settled into a frame of mind that "they are older now, and its just what your supposted to do".(relax)....meaning "not be energetic, athletic, outgoing or anything that requires you to say "exercise?"....this is just what ive experienced over the years....taken it for what its worth....i on the other hand....cant get enough of the sport....
  13. Its not that men are stronger...i dont buy that either.....its passion, drive and the willingness to learn...be coached.....@david-quail.....tell you wife to keep up the fantastic work.....
  14. Thats AWESOME....I also taught my 3yr old niece to ski on a trainer...and my 16yr old son slaloms ....how great is that to have a neighborhood rivalry....i want to join in the fun...right up my alley...great job!! @Texas6 Also...only some are competitive....and as a 48yr old woman....im still as competative as hell...lol Maybe it was from me having brothers..lol..
  15. Hummmmmm.......IMHO......most women who havent grown up skiing do not seem to have the passion.... there are only a few select women like myself.....im usually the first one in the water in APRIL.........cold? If your cold..the sport is not for you.. If there is a chance to get in the water...im there... The hardest part for me this season is finding a driver.. "Do you Men encourage women to ski even if they can't catch all six buoys?" @Texas6
  16. I ski right there on Vineyard lake......(a few miles away) if you want a pull...just let me know....Clark Lake has a great Beach Bar rt on the lake....i have a 92 Ski Nautique @Ajskier
  17. Start the grandson out with style "NAUTIQUE" :p <3
  18. I was also thinking about recarpeting my trailer bunks. Ive examined my Nautique trailer and its going to be "difficult", the bunks are contoured/canted to the frame of the trailer (not straight) and it seems as tho they are screwed threw the wood/bunk into the frame to secure it....(no holes thru bottom of frame).......ive yet to dive into this.....
