  7. I am the permit holder for our public lake, our course stays up 24/7 including holidays and has no corner buoys. I had to get signatures from surrounding homeowners. Is the lake has an association it would help to get approval which our lake has in place.
  8. @75Tique , I have a friend who also lives on a 150 acre very small lake and it’s a no sports/no wake lake. My friends love it that way, myself? I would never live in such a lake. We have a slalom course on our lake which I hold the permit to, it stays up 24/7, we ski early morning and know that after about 11am it’s done, usually pontoons and jet skiers start hitting the water. Then it’s our time to Jetski, hit the sand bar or even surf on friends boats and parasail on our own lake in Michigan, remember it’s a small 214 acre lake. We welcome jet skiers to run thru the course, we do it ourselves and have races to see who is the fastest. Is there times that buoys come off or fishermen get tangled in the cables? Yes, a few times a year, it’s all part of the course living on a public lake as well as a private lake, things happen and I expect that. So in the end you have to find a lake that suits you and your family, I don’t own a surf boat, but I do like to surf after skiing is over:)
  9. @MattP we are so busy making Whitestone “shine” for the big tournament that we have overlooked signing up! Thanks for the reminder, will do it NOW!
  10. @lauskis id definitely stick with the 67”, surly you can try the 65” , but I weight about 115lbs , 5’6” and I ski on a Goode 9970cc 65.5 and absolutely love it, I do ski from 30mph thru 34mph, it’s a great ski for the course. Good luck!
  11. @2Valve then you should be “ok” in knocking that off the ballot from all the “old folks”, as you have lots of support?
  12. @UCFskier not sure how you can actually ban boats from a lake? Or from homeowners on a current private lake so to say. Would never happen on a public lake,(I doubt anyways) maybe on a private lake, but it would be tough to implement after many years of not having it in place. Some private lakes won’t even let guest boats or even if you want to test a boat out for the day, you always have that one neighbor who calls and turns them in even tho the guy testing the boat is doing no harm and following all the rules. So glad I don’t live on a private lake and have to deal with all the “old” folks wanting it their way. The lake I live on may be public but we never get many drop ins causing problems, I guess I am lucky:)
  13. @2Valve would love to know how that turns out? lol
