    196 Cover

I just got a custom cover from Tumacs - pittsburg. Fits like a glove. Too soon to tell regarding durability but i think it will be good. Very reasonable.
  2. Could you get both and then sell the one you don't like as well? Might be some hassle factor but sounds like they ski so differently that it would be fun to try them side by side.
  3. I am planning on a new ski this season. Can't decide between ProBuild and Goode. Hard to get off the Quest though.
  4. You have the new boat now you need the new ProBuild to go with it @bigskieridaho. Stop in the local dealer. Great guy and he will hook you up. 68" demos seem to be rare so just bite the bullet and go for it. If you don't like the skie you can sell it to me and get half your money back!
  5. I go to tournaments to hang out with other skiers and have fun. I am competitive and like to know where I stand but at the end of the day, I'm not good enough for rankings to matter. Moreover, my wife isn't interested in skiing tournaments and neither are my daughters - yet. Hopefully one day. For this to be a family event for me (which is what I want) it has to be a good social event. The tournaments I ski fit the bill. I would absolutely ski class F, especially if some aspect of it was compelling enough for my wife to enter. Not sure what that looks like exactly.
  6. When buying a new boat, I look almost exclusively for a boat without a tower. Personal preference but I am with @swc5150 on this one. I much prefer the look of no tower.
  7. I grew up skiing behind a boat with a 150. Pulled everyone in the family just fine. I have great memories of my time on the lake with that boat!
  8. When we skied on public water, we used our shower all the time and it was fantastic. We had the heatercraft kit and mounted mixing valve/pump/shower head in SN 196 trunk. Switch was on the dash. If I were to do it again, I would set up switches like @MISkier so it could be controlled at swim platform. Now that we ski on private water, we never use it.
  9. VR1 is not an oil specification applied across brands. It is how Valvoline denotes its racing oil.
