  1. @dave2ball all boats require some blocking/reinforcement, proper fasteners and some thought to have towers installed. The more sophisticated the materials and construction are will dictate how specialized the installation has to be, but it absolutely can be done.

Now, whether or not you want the factory, a technician, or me to drill holes in the side of your brand new $100k+ boat is another issue all together... :#

  2. Hold on, it's just a tower. I get you guys don't like how they look, but he's just saying he wants the option, not that every new Nautique should come with one.

    Plus, towers are good for:

    -teaching people to get up

-keeping kids involved, doing something behind boat

    -storing gear

    -climbing on, jumping off

-having slightly higher bimini without it looking stupid

All things that help grow the sport which increases the demand and hopefully reduces price of 3 event boats.

  3. have people tried protection? Slalom alpine ski racers sometimes put strips of dense foam or heavy beads of silicone down each side of the tip of their skis to protect them from gate thwacks. Of course that only happens if you are super late, so I always thought it better to fix your skiing than protect the ski...
  4. I've always hated outboards, but watching the chaos in the automobile industry and now reading about real electric boats makes me realize it's time for some serious outside the box thinking.

    So, @DynaSkiPete couple questions:

rope height? i see lots of pics and video of skiing behind your boats, but no one pulling hard. seems like that rope is going to hit the motor?

tracking? does the boat have/need tracking fins? especially with the pylon so far back?

  5. I got to watch them ski at their home site once. They would dock start, trick, then ski back to the dock, where one of the metal pole dock legs was extended a few feet higher so they could grab on and swing elegantly up on to the dock with out ever getting wet. The 10 year old me, watching this from the boat, fell instantly in love...
