  1. I’ll second what @jedgell had to say. Never driven it, but I’ve skied behind it a few times as well and it’s a great pull.
  2. Any ballers familiar with a course in Frenchtown or up in Seeley Lake area? Thanks!
  3. Rosewater is gorgeous ski lake that skis really nice, lots of good people there too.
  4. Rosewater is an amazing site with some very cool people there. The St. Ignatius lake is still listed on SIA, would love to know if there’s been any movement there?
  5. Bumping this one to see how things are looking in western Montana/Idaho/eastern Washington. New to the area and looking to make some turns before the season wraps up. Any info is greatly appreciated, thank you! (If any folks at No Wake in Helena on here, I skied with y'all once a couple summers ago with a local family and really enjoyed it, would love to join ya again sometime. I'll make those islands look almost as good as @MS would...) B)
  6. Hello Ballers! July 2nd 2022 will mark the 100th Anniversary of water-skiing being invented. For those that are not familiar with the story, Ralph Samuelson of Lake City MN is credited for being the first to waterski on the hallowed waters of Lake Pepin in the summer of 1922. His first equipment consisted of barrel staves for skis being pulled at 20mph. There is no mention or evidence of an abundance of alcohol being part of this monumental feat, but almost certainly (but probably not) the phrase “shut up and hold my beer” was spoken in a voice similar to @thager's prior to jumping in the water. My favorite part of water-skiing is the family, friends, and cold beers that make enjoying it so much fun. Please share your favorite memories/pictures/stories that define water-skiing and what it means to you. Cheers Ralph, thank you for sending it!
  7. Finally found a handle-guard that I love y'all, keep your eyes peeled with Mikro-Just, sounds like some really cool stuff coming soon!
  8. For those that have not gotten a ski related Christmas gift yet I just noticed that Mikro-Just is running a 25% off special through January 2nd. The ability to dial in binding placement with these is crazy accurate and I got to see the new Post Partner in action a few months ago and can't wait to get one! https://www.mikro-just.com/shop
  9. Agree with lots of core, glutes, and body weight workouts. If you're doing weight training and you can't safely, without breaking form, do 10-15reps, you're using too much weight. Foam rolling and dynamic-stretching as a warmup before training/skiing and foam rolling and static-stretching afterwards as a cool-down. Very much recommend the high-density foam roller, it can be a little uncomfortable, but the benefits greatly outweigh the discomfort. Good luck, stay stoked!
  10. Had the unfortunate experience of developing long-haul symptoms from it. Tested positive in July and had very minimal symptoms initially, but weeks after initial infection, had a resurgence of symptoms that have still not completely cleared out. Spent two months in a haze with the worst migraine I can imagine topped with memory loss, chronic fatigue, difficulty breathing, and pretty severe sound/light/motion sensitivity. No permanent heart or lung damage found, but lingering symptoms remain neurologically. One star review on yelp, would not recommend. Stay safe ballers
  11. Agreed, super confusing how this post is put together. Nothing about the crash is necessary in original post as from what I can tell the only question being asked is what are people using behind their syndicate hardshell. I use a reflex hrt and enjoy it very much. Not a fan of how this thread portrays a very solid HO product tho. Glad you’re ok after the fall man, stay stoked!
  12. Had the same problem with mine and HO took great care of me, their customer service is the best in the business in my opinion. Also, before I replaced my vmax setup I used an ample amount of JB Welds Marineweld and had no issues after. Stay stoked, best of luck!
  13. Planning a trip to Helena later this year and heard there’s a ski lake there. Any ballers around the lake willing to give a newbie a pull? Please and thank you!
  14. Visiting Palm Springs in a couple weeks and curious if y’all are still getting some sets in out there?
  15. Thanks Kim! SWERVE is currently on tap and in cans at Forager, but it is going fast so please let me know if you are interested in cans or stickers as they will likely be gone by next weekend. Thank you again for all the help with this fantastic beer!
  16. I agree with @MISkier. Start edge change behind the boat. Need to be on inside edge after 2nd wake.
  17. It’s pretty difficult to keep a sport alive when people aren’t willing to help each other out.
  18. Daaaang! Bummer on the injury and missed tournament, but congrats on qualifying tho! Currently on the injured list as well with shoulder/neck injury from going over the front. Injuries are never fun to deal with, especially in the middle of the season.
  19. SWERVE is in the fermenter! Thanks again everyone, happy 4th! USA USA USA!
  20. Thank you everyone for helping us out on this very special beer! The votes are in and we are set on SWERVE IPA. It will be a crushable beer in the 5-5.5% range featuring Strada and Sabro hops. We will be brewing it next week, hopefully on July 1st, and it should be ready by the third week in July. Crowlers will be available (25.4oz cans @ $11-$12 a piece) and if you are not in the area and would like some sent to you please pm me for details (any shipping will not be associated with the brewery but will be done by me personally). Thank you again!
  21. Check out the Tasc Carrollton Long Sleeve, I live in these things. They're a little more expensive, but totally worth it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BHD6B06/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  22. @TomH Awesome, it should be a lot of fun! Are you doing 8/31 or 9/1?
  23. Just booked an afternoon session at Lake Elmo, MN on 9/1. Stoked to ski with Erika! Thanks Nautique!
  24. @Nando right on, swing through on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and your first ones on me!
