  1. Bumping this one to see how things are looking in western Montana/Idaho/eastern Washington. New to the area and looking to make some turns before the season wraps up. Any info is greatly appreciated, thank you! (If any folks at No Wake in Helena on here, I skied with y'all once a couple summers ago with a local family and really enjoyed it, would love to join ya again sometime. I'll make those islands look almost as good as @MS would...) B)
  2. Hello Ballers!

July 2nd 2022 will mark the 100th Anniversary of water-skiing being invented. For those that are not familiar with the story, Ralph Samuelson of Lake City MN is credited for being the first to waterski on the hallowed waters of Lake Pepin in the summer of 1922. His first equipment consisted of barrel staves for skis being pulled at 20mph. There is no mention or evidence of an abundance of alcohol being part of this monumental feat, but almost certainly (but probably not) the phrase “shut up and hold my beer” was spoken in a voice similar to @thager's prior to jumping in the water.

My favorite part of water-skiing is the family, friends, and cold beers that make enjoying it so much fun. Please share your favorite memories/pictures/stories that define water-skiing and what it means to you. Cheers Ralph, thank you for sending it!

  3. Agree with lots of core, glutes, and body weight workouts. If you're doing weight training and you can't safely, without breaking form, do 10-15reps, you're using too much weight. Foam rolling and dynamic-stretching as a warmup before training/skiing and foam rolling and static-stretching afterwards as a cool-down. Very much recommend the high-density foam roller, it can be a little uncomfortable, but the benefits greatly outweigh the discomfort. Good luck, stay stoked!
  4. Had the unfortunate experience of developing long-haul symptoms from it. Tested positive in July and had very minimal symptoms initially, but weeks after initial infection, had a resurgence of symptoms that have still not completely cleared out. Spent two months in a haze with the worst migraine I can imagine topped with memory loss, chronic fatigue, difficulty breathing, and pretty severe sound/light/motion sensitivity. No permanent heart or lung damage found, but lingering symptoms remain neurologically. One star review on yelp, would not recommend. Stay safe ballers
  5. Had the same problem with mine and HO took great care of me, their customer service is the best in the business in my opinion. Also, before I replaced my vmax setup I used an ample amount of JB Welds Marineweld and had no issues after. Stay stoked, best of luck!
  6. Daaaang! Bummer on the injury and missed tournament, but congrats on qualifying tho! Currently on the injured list as well with shoulder/neck injury from going over the front. Injuries are never fun to deal with, especially in the middle of the season.
  7. Thank you everyone for helping us out on this very special beer! The votes are in and we are set on SWERVE IPA. It will be a crushable beer in the 5-5.5% range featuring Strada and Sabro hops. We will be brewing it next week, hopefully on July 1st, and it should be ready by the third week in July. Crowlers will be available (25.4oz cans @ $11-$12 a piece) and if you are not in the area and would like some sent to you please pm me for details (any shipping will not be associated with the brewery but will be done by me personally). Thank you again!u0frgl8ijwwo.png
