  1. Can’t believe nobody mentioned the Stokes vest.

Definitely more flotation than the Eagle, still doesn’t feel restrictive while skiing.

How about the Follow vests, anyone with experience?

Might need to get a new vest next season, my Stokes Evo is in it’s 4th year of heavy use and starts to get a little loose/stretched out.

But that’s ok for about 500 sets.

  2. Adam, that’s a fantastic idea and would not only make it easier for the commentators to deliver accurate information and find additional topics to talk about, but also would bring valuable information to the viewers of the webcast.

    Thanks for supporting these events!

  3. Honestly, I don’t know what all the bashing here is about.

Tony spent more time talking about the Denali than any other brand ski (and there had been multiple ski sponsors throughout the season). He explained basically on every single webcast in length how the Denali sizing works. (All same length, only width changes, yada, yada, yada,…) Comments about the rocker (or the lack of) sounded more observational than critical to me.

How much more product exposure can a sponsor ask for?

  4. I think the ski companies all have their own way to handle that situation.

Manon skied a long while on her 2018 GT. Never switched over to the GTR and just this season went with the DV8. Connelly obviously did not have an issue with that.

  5. It’s COVID safety protocol - wash your hands often. ?

Joking aside - Rob who skis a lot on our lake does that every time.

I think it enhances grip. Some skiers even wash their handle prior to skiing.

On another note - waited for the 1st round to be over to submit my audience price entry, was already closed. Bummer @TonyLightfoot

  6. I’m with @jjackkrash here, open bow is kind of useless (some would say even dangerous depending on the conditions you are boating in) and only limits your storage capacity.

Get a pre 2019 SN200 closed bow with the saddle bags. The under bow storage area is huge. You could camp out in there! Best place to stow heavier and bulky equipment like your anchor and the mandatory life vests/throw cushions.

The saddle bags hold plenty of stuff, we jokingly call them his and hers ski locker. My whole gear fits into one side, the other is filled with my wife’s equipment. And I mean all of it! Handle, rope, vest, boot, liner, gloves, ski, towel.

There’s a small, floor mounted storage cubby in the rear, but that’s quite useless, only holds smaller items like a soap bottle or a pair or two of gloves and serves more as a step to enter the platform. Still nice to have.

No in-floor storage either, the one under the passenger seat is occupied with the battery.

  7. When you change skis - What’s the proper approach to set up a new ski.

    What’s first?

How to determine when changes are needed? How many rides until you make a change? How to determine what changes are needed - Binding position vs fin numbers vs wing angle? Symptom tuning/set up for harder vs easy passes/how to know when it’s right/ …

  8. @DW - Biggest crowd ever. Period. ?

Honestly - Hard to guess (at least for me).

I was there Thursday and Yesterday all day. It was crowded but not overcrowded. But there’s a ton of space available at Sunset Lakes.

Maybe 300 - 400 people, really hard to give a good estimate.

  9. Assuming you currently have the ACME 515 (std. / OEM prop 13x12) you could go to the 525 (13 x 11.5). That will raise your overall RPMs about 150-200 and give you a little better holeshot without any sacrifices.
