  1. It's time to do some glueing... Now it will sit until tomorrow and hopefully it will hold together as it was new again...
  2. It's all about driving skills, I learned to ski after a 14 foot boat with a Mercury 50 hp engine, and that one managed to get bigger skiers than you up from the water. Put the boat in a small turn with some tension on the rope, and when the boat has gained some speed you turn the boat so the skier gets out from the water. The secret is to just have enough tension on the rope so the boat can gain speed before turning and pulling the skier up.
  3. It says "WATERPROOF: Waterproof and resilient bond for crafts that are subject to wet or harsh conditions" so it should work for wet conditions I hope...
  4. I always leave the zipper open when the ski/boots are wet so hopefully it dries out good enough...
  5. Found this glue, sounds like it's going to work on the boot, strong flexibleand works on fabric vinyl plastic and rubber. https://www.loctiteproducts.com/en/products/specialty-products/specialty/loctite_vinyl_fabricplasticflexibleadhesive.html
  6. My rear HO VMax boot broke down on me, thought that it had loosen itself from the ski first, but when I got out of the water I saw that the bottom plate was still attached to the ski, it was the boot that had separated from the plastic bottom end. Everything looks like it's not broken, It's only the glue between the sole and the boot thats gone loose. Anyone knows what type of glue that could work to glue them together again, or should I go for the new Radar Vapor hybrid boot instead?
  7. @klindy I`m after the factory settings to get a starting point, and to do that I had to know how to do the measure in the correct way. Compared both of my methods in my pictures above, and the result from the last one is almost identical to the method that @Bracemaker linked from Finwhisperer… Thanks for your answers… :)
  8. What is the correct way to measure the Fin distance from Tail? In wich way should I hold the caliper on the back of the ski, or should I measure from the sharp back end of the ski (black arrow on picture)? Or is there any other way to measure that is correct (better)?
  9. It`s not a PH3, it`s a PZ3 screwdriver... :) Now I´ve cleaned out the threads from old Loctite, and applied a small amount of new threadlock before tightening down the boots firmly. If that doesn`t work I will try some rubber paint under the boots to add some friction between the ski and boot, and maybe a washer between the screw head and boot to add some friction there aswell.
  10. Did your screws come loose when your boots moved on the ski? Because mine still where screwed down hard and tight and the boots still moved on the ski. Did you put on some new threadlock when reinstalling the boots or did you install the screws clean without any threadlock on them?
  11. I have a HO Syndicate VTR with double vMax boots with HO:s Direct Connect fastening system. Now I`ve noticed that the boots are moving slightly on the ski, and the screws are not loose when I checked them. If I try to move the boots myself they are stuck but when riding they are moving slightly. What can I do to sort this problem out, I don`t think that I can screw them down any harder without ripping out the threads in the inserts in the ski. Are there any type of washer that I can use to add some friction between the screw head and the slot in the boot to make them stay put where I want them to be?
  12. Is it possible to heatmold the vMax boots, and if so, what is the easiest/safest way to do it, put them in the oven or sink them in hot water, or any other safe way to do it?
  13. I`ve just bought myself an HO V-Type R 66" (2016) ski to replace my old 66" Monza, but when I compare the two skis, the VTR are a bit longer than the Monza, but both of them are supposed to be 66" long. How long should a 66" VTR be when measured from tip to tail? It was labeled with a sticker that said 66" but it`s quite a bit longer than the Monza so it could be possible that I`ve got a 67" with wrong lable that said 66"...
  14. Thanks for the answer, told the shop that I`ll go with the size 7 vMax boot and a 2016 V-Type R...
  15. Thanks for the answer, the neoprene toe cap on the 2017 vMax, is that removable from the liner if the bindings are too tight? Jonas
