  1. The O'Brien Recon is a USCGA approved vest yet still thin and great movement. It is a bit longer too and I am liking that. Note that they run big so I would recommend that you size down. I am typically and XL but wear a Large in it. https://www.amazon.com/OBrien-Recon-Neoprene-Jacket-X-Large/dp/B09DJD71DG/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3KWD0UQ2IRVMM&keywords=obrien%2Brecon&qid=1700198278&sprefix=obrien%2Brecon%2Caps%2C466&sr=8-1&th=1
  2. Here is a link to John's obituary. https://www.westfordfuneralhome.com/obituaries/John-Goodman-15/#!/TributeWall
  3. The O'Brien Tech vest has been treating me very well. As close to a non approved I have found so far. The cool thing also about this life jacket is it has USCG approval and the Canadian approval as well. Being 30 minutes from Canada it is nice to have a pfd that fits both bills. https://www.amazon.com/OBrien-Mens-Neoprene-Jacket-Green/dp/B07XPF7XT8?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
  4. Columbia River in Brewster WA. This is mid afternoon of 4th of July weekend a few years ago. Great place to ski all day and then surf and wakeboard. Both the boat and plane were upgraded last season.
  5. I am a size 9 and run the Med and they are a little tight. If you do get a pair and they feel a little big just buy a pair of Super Feet or Sole insoles for them and that will take care of the issue.
