  1. You're right about that Drago. But if a skier is skiing for open overall in reg & nationals then they ski a 2nd time in age division for overall score purposes only, if desiring to compete for Over-all placement. Check out m1 slalom at Nationals along with open men overall. 2 open overall skiers skied m1 slalom, one winning the event and the other placing out of medals. This is rule 3.03 F (4) do you see this as a rule violation?
  2. Rule 102 E. Not being able to ski in more than one class or division in same event in the same round at one tournament and may not ski more than 3 rounds in an event with exceptions of skiers using the option in rule 3.03 Elite Skier Overall. (see rule 1.09, 3.03F and rule 13. 3.03F (4) Tournaments with Placement like Regionals and Nationals may ski in the Elite division for placement and must also ski a second time in their age division event, for overall score purposes only, if desiring to compete for Overall placement. If you wish to look these rules up and don't have a rule book handy go to AWSA click on 3 event then go down page and click on rule book.
  3. We have a new 2019 ProStar 5.7 with 140 hrs on it. In the past few weeks it has gotten to the point where the boat will not come up to speed by the pre-gates/ At 36mph it doesn't get up to speed till the course gates. Any suggestions on what might be going on?
  4. Dane comes from a skiing family from Cincinnati, Ohio. His father & older brother Mason have never had the advantage of living on a private lake they skied with area clubs and to ski was a lot of driving to and from the lake. And they were skiing before perfect pass. A great family and lot of support from all the local skiers. Dane and his family has really worked hard and they he did it for the love of the sport.
  5. On the USA Water Ski Site under Safe Sport Program there are different links on the program. If you go to the certification requirement there's a chart that list all officials and what is required for them to be certificated. (including anyone that's even involved with the teams). Plus all the other links explains everything pretty well. One interesting thing on the Suspended Member List 3 out of 6 members that are permanently suspended are in violation of Safe Sport Policy.
  6. When Fairland first started, I was skiing on a river is SW Ohio, back then we had no private lakes so the tournament at Fairland was the greatest place ever with some of the nicest people. In the spring when we were flooded out I was always invited over to practice, thank you Steve & Lynnette Helton, Indiana is a special place and I'm so glad that I was forced to move to Indiana
  7. These were the best jumpers that were made in the early to mid 60's. The biggest problem with them were if you landed with your tips up they would start splitting. But, no problem you just cut the tips off send them back to the factory and they sent new ones back to you. Most jumpers had 2 pairs so that you always had a pair to ski on. Great customer service!!!!!
  8. After reading all of the comments about W4 slalom event, I feel that the ACJ & ACD were almost as guilty as the driver. When they knew what was going on they should have stopped the event replaced the driver and started the event over. What were they thinking? Women 4 deserved to have the best conditions available, after all there were 18 skiers who paid the same entry fee as everyone else. Would they have told M4 to live it???
