Awful colors, otherwise sweet boat

I’ve skied a lot behind a 15 200 and 15 prostar, both with a 5.7. 15 off wake is similar, I prefer the 200 it’s a little softer. 22 off wake the 200 is a little firmer than the prostar. Inside 22 off the wakes are really similar. Driving wise the 200 tracks like a train, doesn’t need weight or filing of rudders or anything (has an adjustable rudder). The prostar drives decent, but definitely not as well as the 200, lots of playing with weight and adjusting the steering connection as well to find the optimum spots. If you have someone who’s a newer driver or not a real experienced drive go with the 200 as you will end up with a more consistent pull every time.

Imagine you have a 16 year old daughter and you have her getting coached by the best in the world who is a 23 year old man. That man grooms your daughter and has sex with her. Would you want him to be allowed to continue to compete with basically no ramifications other than a couple month suspension and continue to be able to coach? It seems tough because he puts on the guise of being a nice guy and is obviously the most talented skier in the world, but at the end of the day getting banned from the sport is a light punishment.

Sometimes I ski behind a pp classic boat and it feels real slow. I can also slow it down if I get behind and pull hard.

I bought a boat in Wisconsin and towed it to Michigan without plates, but I did put insurance on it before I towed it. I believe that since I had a bill of sale, transporting it was legal. I wouldn’t stress over it.

For anyone that flys Delta, they changed their policy this year so pretty much any sporting equipment is considered a normal bag so no extra fees.

These are the neon yellow ones. Something is different about these from the red ones they sold for years. I went away from the 41 tails after these green ones a couple years ago. To each his own but these just didn’t seem the same as the old ones, didn’t fit quite the same and the materials seemed different. I saw a new design this year that were all black, haven’t tried those yet as the Radar Boa Ks I got have been incredible and lasted almost 2 full seasons.

I had a 2010 VTX, it skied pretty at 32 or faster, in the course it didn’t track real well, but it’s a V drive. The storage and interior were great, and it the wakeboard wake was awesome. But I ended up getting a new boat because I always wanted to ski behind friends DD boats and I never put any hours on it. I have a SN 200 OB now and LOVE it, I get way more use out of it.

Radar vapor boa K. These gloves are awesome, I usually blow through at least one sometimes 2 pair per year, with these I’ve got almost 2 seasons on them and no real sign of wear, and they are very comfortable. I used to love the HO 41 tails, but they changed them a couple years ago and they weren’t the same.

There is no compromise with a SN200 OB vs closed, it drives and skis exactly the same, and is the same exact weight. Handling wise you cannot beat a 200, the new Prostar has a little more interior room, but they didn’t start making those until 14 so you probably won’t find one in your range. I’d look for a 2010-2012 200 OB, you can probably find one for low 30’s with higher hours.

Are these 41 tails like the old red ones? I switched gloves because the newer 41 tails seemed to change and they did not fit as well. This is when they went from red to fluorescent green. Maybe just personal preference but they weren’t the same.

Been skiing 2-3 times a week in SE Mich, but conditions haven’t been ideal, water is still not 70 degrees. Weather has been pretty awful.

What is the main differences that would make this upgrade worthwhile?

People are still buying them, prices will keep going up until people stop buying. Supply and Demand.

I use mine almost all the time because I am the only one our lake with ZO. Guys without ZO still like to try and convince themselves that PP or even no speed control is the same.

Boat setup is very important with a new driver, some boats can track way differently without weighting properly. Steering setup is very important too, without the right pressure on the rudder even a good driver can give a bad pull.

I went back and forth between the neoprene drysuit and the baggy style. Ended up going with the baggy O’Neill Boost. Couldn’t be happier, easy on and off I drop the top of it down between sets. I always stay completely dry where as the neoprene suits seem to leave you a little moist after a while. I find it easier to ski in the drysuit then in my full wetsuit, very good range of motion.

I have 15 200, and it’s very tight, I have to pull on it pretty good to get it to clock into place. Mine does not have stripes, it’s all metal and there’s no adjustment, I’ve seen a version with a strap.

I haven’t driven the new Nautique, but I own a 15 200 and have spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a 15 MC. The 200 drives noticeably better, and doesn’t need to much setup. The MC needs to have weight or passengers in the observer seat or it doesn’t track well, some have a ballast system fo r that as an option, people also have changed the steering connection point to get more steering torque as well. The MC also doesn’t have an adjustable tab on the rudder like the nautique, so you need to grind the rudder to adjust. If you have a good driver they can handle either boat. Sometimes I don’t have the best drivers as ski partners (even though they think they are) and I get a lot better pull behind the 200 consistently with them vs other boats because much easier to drive and tracks like a train.
