  1. @customski thanks for the info. I do hear good things with the KD Platinum Graphite. Apparently it's fast but very predictable and smooth.
  2. thanks @Chris Rossi. Might be the smoothest transition when upgrading skis. Are you guys bringing out a new SPB this year?
  3. Currently skiing on a 16 radar senate, have been since oct 2016. 19 Senate PB or 19 Vapor Lithium? My max speed is 34mph/55kph. Major differences? Opinions/recommendations would be great. Cheers
  4. Good tip @condorpilot. I’ll bare that in mind. Thanks
  5. So, finally went with a Radar RTP M/L. Can’t get it on when it’s dry, but can when wet with lubricant. Once it’s on, it’s a nice snug fit. Have been told these stretch, best to go a tad smaller apparently.
  6. Still undecided. Thanks heaps for all the advice/tips.
  7. Hope Santa visits me this year @Bill22. @shansen345 thanks for the tip. May just order two different sizes. It’ll be expensive first time round, but then I’ll know my size for future.
  8. @skialex this definitely helps me a lot. I’d say I’m a L too. @Bill22 cheers for the info. Found everyone’s advice and comments very helpful. Thanks guys
  9. @skialex I’ve tried contacting masterlineusa many times via emails, their contact page and fb messenger. I get to chat to someone via fb but nothing comes of it. It’s hard to speak via phone as I’m in Western Australia. I’ll look into finding another store which sells Eagle vests maybe. I’ve seen the World BareFoot Centre stock Eagle. Cheers
  10. All the advice is awesome, Thanks. It really sounds like my gut feeling is to go with an Eagle vest after all and just pay the money. I’ve researched the size chart etc. I’m deciding either a L or XL. I’m a L in the chart sizing, but my waist is more towards a XL. Should I stick with a L and just breath in when I put it on? ;) Would I order through masterlineusa.com? Thanks
  11. Hi Guys Be great to get advice on a few impact/comp vests. I'm looking to purchase my first impact/comp vest. I didn't want to spend too much, but willing to if needed. I really like the Eagle vests, would love to own one. I'm trying to contact Masterlineusa to enquire about their ordering and returns policy, as i'm not sure what size I would be. I feel it's easier and cheaper to go with a Radar Drifter Impact vest. I live in Western Australia, so have limited choice unless ordering from the US with Eagle range. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  12. Thanks so much for all the advice from everyone. Running a demo would be the best thing to get the best feel.
  13. Bill22 Never skiied KD. Not many people use it in Western Australia that I’ve noticed. Something else to think about. Thanks
  14. Windsurfnut thanks for the tip. Good to hear from someone who’s at a similar skiing level. Haven’t really got the money to go all out for a 2019 senate PB right now. I was more looking at a 2018 vapor or similar. I’ll keep thinking! Thanks
  15. Thanks for all the advice. I feel a more stable ski would be the way forward. My current graphite senate is forgiving and turns nicely enough. Am I right in saying the D3 EVO is wider and more forgiving than the vapor? Any Connelly skis get a mention? Just to add, I will need a new RTP soon. I currently use a 2016 radar ARTP. The pros seem to use a standard RTP. Any reasons behind this? Thanks
  16. Hi Guys Looks like my Radar 2016 ARTP is starting to fall apart. I’ve noticed all the pros use a RTP not a ARTP. Just looking for advice to see what I should replace it with. Thanks
  17. Hi Guys I’m probably looking to upgrade my ski in the near future. Most probably I’ll be looking at another Radar as I’m in Western Australia, we don’t have a huge range to demo here. I currently ski on a 2016 Radar Senate Graphite with a Profile binding/ARTP setup. I really enjoy this ski and running the course at 32/34mph - 18m line. Looking for advice: When I should be looking to upgrade? What ski should I be looking at next? Should I looking to upgrade to the Radar Vapor lithium or a pro build? Any advice would be great! Thanks
  18. Thanks for your comments and advice. I’ll go with that! Cheers
  19. Sorry........I use a rear artp. Thanks
  20. Hey guys I’ve been skiing with the 2016 Vector front binding for a couple of years. I’m a LFF skier. As I’m improving nicely, I wanted to upgrade my binding. So I purchased a new 2018 Radar Profile LFF binding. Can anyone help with the pivot placement? i.e should i place the binding straight like my Vector binding was? Or shoujd I place the binding a little clockwise or anti-clockwise? Any advice would be awesome. Thanks
  21. Hey guys Thanks so much for all the good advice. With more or less everyone's advice is to stay withthe artp/rtp. Looks like I should stick with it. I'm happy with my ski set up. I keep going as I am. Obviously being new to the sport and 35 yrs old, I suppose I shouldn't be too concerned about changing. Thanks again. Till next time :)
  22. Guys Need some advice. I've been slalom skiing for 2 1/2 years. I'm skiing on a 2016 Radar Senate Graphite with Vector front boot binding and artp. I'm progressing quite well. Was wondering whether to try to convert to two boot bindings. It would be great to get advice on the pros and cons? Look forward to hearing from fellow buoy chasers Cheers guys :)
