  1. I call it the "Z" turn after the old O'Brien Synergy Z-series ski years ago. The others were C & (TC-that Mapple used to ski on). Narrow & not much angle.
  2. Great post-always loved watching the "GOAT" if I'm not mistaken did he miss the entrance gate?? CP is always fun to watch-LFF like our most of our lil group of skiers.
  3. Our club (mainly 3 of us) bought Jay's ski "Bible" & we only use Jay's terminology except we call it Shmear-lol. We have thrown all the old garbage on ski tuning as it was so incomplete. Just ordered another "Bible" because the other copy has yet to be returned from early summer.
  4. EZ-Slalom all the way! Ed knows his product & skier's needs. Have used portable & permanent. Ask for forgiveness not permission
  5. Used to be 1 my 69" 9700 hopped on my 67" 9300 for a 3 set day & tied my PB for the season at 3 1/2 @35, hoping to get passed 2@38 from last year. I measured & adj. bindings fin & wing the day before skiing it & I was unable to duplicate that 1 day performance. So I guess 2 now.
  6. I strongly urge you to read The Fin Whisperer. After viewing the video it looks more like your steering the ski rather than skiing it. Most of your ski is out of contact with the water "tail heavy". 1st binding, 2nd fin, then wing-for set-up.
  7. A little late on this one, but I've been a rtp guy for 32 years or so. I tried dbl boots (years ago) & found I did not have an offside pull. I've tried a reflex last year after my first sprained ankle & couldn't ski with it either. My back foot/toes would hit that release bar (painfully so) & I went back to Animal front & rtp. I say try something new you may like it or if not stick with what you know.
  8. After viewing the video, either of the skis will work. I would highly recommend you read The Fin Whisperer. It has changed our groups skiing-added years to us 50+ old guys & has helped with the zero off pull.
  9. I will be trying trick mode more this weekend. Took a windy, sun blinding (could only see one direction) yesterday & I am really encouraged. 6'2" 240 34mph running 32off & 1/2 way thru 35 behind my 13 RLX. Being the only 0 boat that skis regularly on our lake it has been a little challenging, I have tried just about every setting & after watching & seeing the graph on the 0 presentation B1 (the most symmetrical of all settings) has been the best to try to match my buddies Stargazer boats pull. A side note is been a PP user for years until 14, had my PB in 13 & took 3 years to get back to it behind zero off.
  10. I ski with B1 13 Malibu RLX & it is the closest it comes to the other 2 boats my buddies have with PP Stargazer 02 190 & 06 197TT.
