  1. So, I brought it home.overall in good shape. Definitely needs a little love. Took it out tonight fora quick ski tonight before I drop it off at the shop to get the issues address. All I can say is ?.
  2. I am super excited. I finally made it work to buy a 97-99 nautique. It seems like everyone raves about these boats. Is there anything particular to these boats that I should look for prior to completing the purchase? It has a GT 40. Regular maintenance has been performed. I won’t be able to do a compression test. It has approximately 900 hours. There is a link to a video of the boat below. I know the trailer looks a little rough, but it should be in the water except for winter time. Thanks

  3. I have to agree with the comments about the Harbormaster lift. I have owned 2, and they have been great. I think they are a better option than a true cantilever lift. I you add a motor, I definitely agree with a 24 volt set up. My lift tech has worked great. I did recently purchase a craftlander lift for my ski boat. For the the money they seem like a very solid lift with a very easy crank mechanism. There are more cables to maintain. If you are in West Michigan, I am selling this due to moving for $625. It is a 3500/108. No canopy, but that could be added.
  4. Sorry, I was just trying to make a joke. Obviously, not a good one. I definitely would not leave anything in place without proper permits. I sounds like a portable one is the way to go. What is the advantage of the accu course vs the ez? I have also seen a compact ez.
  5. I am considering investing in a course next spring. I live on a public lake, so I am thinking that a portable one may make more sense. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the portable courses when compared to the permanent? If it gets used frequently and I can work through any local restrictions, can a portable course be left in for long periods of time?

What portable course would you recommend?

  6. Kids are 10 and 7. Unfortunately the boats are several hours away and not near one another. I would rather have a planned deal prior to traveling. The boat would primarily be for early morning slalom runs. Everything with the kids would be from the dock. The kids are already getting up surfing (I know four letter word hear). I am just hoping to expand their horizons. How does the 91 compare to the 96 I have been behind?

Sounds like I should get over nostalgia.
