Any thoughts on Ski Nautique 216 and if so which year for best slalom wake.

Hey everyone, Long story short our family lost our 02 Moomba Mobius LS to a garage fire in April and we have been searching ever since. We have 3 children under 6 years old and originally I had my heart set on a 13-15' VTX but not sure we are willing to spend that yet. We are a Slalom first family however we don't have access to a course and we surfed when we had enough weight in the Moomba and enjoyed that and then wakeboard on occasion. Obviously with young kids we will tube and do all the "kid stuff" too. As for ski wake I have only been behind our Moomba and my buddy has a prostar 197 and I typically ski 35mph 28-32 off. Initially I wanted a vdrive and for the layout and to surf easier but again I have never even set foot on one so I don't know what I don't know and the DD setup never bothered us, and I'm not sure I'm willing to give up the ski wake. Anyway I have been really looking into 03-04 Sunsetter LXI with the MLS thats in good shape but they seem impossible to find and I recently started looking into the Response LXI and found a 2010 that looked a little roomier than the preceding models. Lastly I found a good looking MC x14 DD on ski it again but I know nothing of the boat and it has gotten mixed reviews. I like the idea of something with a little higher freeboard with young kids and something that wont take water over the bow every time a surf boat goes by. Price range is around 30k. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious if anyone else has suffered a herniated disc in their lower back that caused a severe side shift and how and if you were able to get back to skiing. Thanks!

@MISkier nope but there is a 1970s golf cart you might be seeing.

@Web Yeah not fun at all. My kids are 5 and 2 so they were just starting to get into it. I'm trying to anticipate which sports they will enjoy and which boat will fit those needs.

@skier2788 thanks but probably not going down the carb route again. My mobius was also carb and I was having issues all last year with it.

Hey everyone, my parents pull barn which houses my boat in the winter burned down last week. I had an 02 moomba mobius DD. It wasnt a perfect boat but we could do all 3 sports behind it and it was paid off :) Anyway I am a pretty aggressive open water skier (no access to a course) and I have gotten into skiing more again over the years and wakeboard way less; however we do enjoy surfing as well. We are a young family and my kids are just starting to get into boating/watersports. I have read up on the malibu VTX and it seems like that could be an option but I have never skied behind a v drive. Not that I want to pay this but does anyone really know if the 2020 is better than the 2015 in regards to skiing? Any other suggestions out there. Have a great Easter!

Hey guys new to the forum and wondering if i could get some new ski advice. I have a HO triumph and i ski often on a friends Monza. I feel i am out skiing the triumph and i generally feel comfortable on the monza however my off side is inconsistent. Would the syndicates be a good option? Mostly all open water at 34 mph 28 off and i am fairly aggressive. Thanks!
