I'm looking at a pair of 2016s that a guy here in Canada has for sale. He says he has a wider foot and they're too narrow for him so that's why he's selling them. He only used them a few times and they're a really good deal. The reason I as about the year is that I believe in 2017 they reduced the thickness of the liner in the Profiles by 2 mm so that would give a bit more room for a wider foot. If I could get a similar deal on a pair of Vapors I would go for them over the Profiles but right now the Vapors are out of my price range...
  2. Did you say Wahhhhhhhh! and flail your arms during the crash? You need to do that to max out the artistic impression points. I give it 9.9 for technical merit though. Sticking the tip like that is technically difficult. good tomahawk too. I can't give it a 10 as some of the top Chinese athletes are getting an extra twist in the dismount these days. ;)
  3. Hi, Just joined. This is my first post. I am a intermediate - advanced level recreational skier in my mid-50s. I just free ski fairly aggressively but never go on a course. For the last 10 years or so I've been skiing on an '06 Monza with HO Approach Bindings front and rear. For what I do, the Monza does quite well and my skiing has improved a ton since I got it. This year, my ski buddy got himself a new Radar Senate Alloy ski with Radar Vector bindings on it. I tried it out and liked the bindings quite a bit and noticed they seemed stiffer and more responsive than the Approaches. The only thing I didn't like as much about them was that the Vectors weren't as comfortable underfoot as the Approaches because they don't have right and left specific footbeds like the Approaches do. So what I'd like to do is find a pair of newer bindings to upgrade to at the level of the Radar Vectors or a bit higher with asymmetrical fit. I don't want to spend a ton of money so I'd be happy buying new old stock binding from a previous year or buying used. I don't care what brand they are, just so long as they fit well to a narrow foot/narrow heel and use the old standard mounting system. I've been doing a bit of research and am thinking about a 2016 or so Radar Profile binding as an option. Would that be a good one for my needs? I don't know much about what the other companies models like HO, O'Brien, Connelly, etc. so I'd be interested to look at options there if anyone has suggestions for other company's bindings. Thanks!
