  1. I must rephrase my question...I'm referring to the WING on the fin.Are these allowed in competition ?
  2. This guy keeps telling me to try my ski without the "cheater", that I would ski much better without that "brake".Then goes on to say that fins are not used in pro tournaments.
  3. I'm gonna miss the last month of the ski season here in California because of A Pectoral strain that has worked its way into the chest area.I don't think it's A tear, but I'm a hurtin'! It looks like stretching exercises are a must from now on.
  4. Should I return this,or will it work itself out?
  5. So, I dropped $130 for the handle. 12" .094 and was somewhat puzzled by the tubing that they use. Also, it seems like one side the tubing is too long making the line curve in. In other words , not A" V " shape. But does straighten out with tension applied, so I guess I'm alright ?
  6. Thanks for the video .Got my attention . Had a Barefooter on my boat once, Wes Brent, he had me up in no time behind my Sanger flat.Sat on a hydro slide, popped right up.I might have made it 100 feet and I was down. That must be where they came up with the saying "he ate it". Face first. I want to try again so bad ,but at 65 ,not A good idea !
  7. I'm retired and I just want to ski,ski ,ski. But my room mate wants to sleep, sleep, sleep! Therefor,I have a room available in the bay area (Antioch). Luanch ramp is just 5 min from my house, but I prefer taking a 20 minute drive to Orwood Resort for the best skiing the Delta can offer. As far as lakes go,I like Camp Far West, which is about A 2 hour drive. If interested, please call Dave @ (925)324-3101 for more details.
  8. Thanks for your replies. My rope is pretty long. I think it could use 2 sections removed to improve my timing.
  9. At camp far west i didn t have a driver so I asked A guy with A Ski Sanger to pull me. I knew the wake would be bigger than what i was used to with my Sanger flat.I liked how I popped right up and proceeded to set myself up for the first cut.I hit the wake with caution and it was bigger than I thought. On the next cut I told myself it can't be that big... wrong. It was all I could do to keep the ski (A Radar Senate) on top of the water. And by the third cut I was launched into the air,A forword complete flip and I was through.Back in the boat I noticed A Wakeboard on the rack and I said well, that explains it.He said no,the boat is for skiing.I've skied behind A ski boat before and the wake was normal. So, please tell me ...who's fooling who?
  10. After buying my first brand new ski (Radar Senate) my driver (my old lady) who's been my driver some 30 years, dies. Why does it seem like A whole new learning process of trying to get up ? It took me 3 or 4 tries the first time and yesterday I couldn't get up at all ! I am 65, and don't like the thought of my ski days being numbered.
  11. Anybody know the contact for Radar? I've tried support@radarskis.com but nothing.
  12. Ebay has the 2019 rear boot (orange) for $150. I also saw A kind of half boot that looked good for $100.
  13. This is my 2nd time around with this topic. I've been skiing the Rivers of the California Delta behind my Sanger V-drive all my life. Never purchased A brand new skii till now.A Radar Senate. But it wasn't the performance I was expecting. But with no back boot (which i just ordered) could have something to do with it.Well, that and I'm A "fossile" at age 64 but hey, I'm not thinking about that when I'm up !
  14. Is $600 out the door about right for A 2019 Radar Senate Alloy ? Does not have full back boot.
