  1. @alanc very true. Can’t complain about those boats
  2. @alanc no doubt there are more wakeboard/surf boat sales across all the big three manufacturers than ski boats in Aus. However, an Australian made Malibu TXI, similarly optioned to the 2021 ProStar, down here would still be ballpark $110,000.
  3. @Cooper_Trelawney to the best of my knowledge, once the boat is built, its transported to the East Coast for fumigation and loaded on to a ship. The ship takes bit over a month to get to Melbourne, VIC. As far as pricing compared to the US goes, 2021 ProStars are listed here on BoatSales as starting at AU$127,400 but that includes a fair few options standard and tandem trailer from my understanding.
  4. Here’s a few on their way to MasterCraft Melbourne
  5. @skimtb its very cool stuff. An update for 14-20s would be awesome
  6. @epnault - @ironhorse and @MichaelWiebe are correct in their comments. The tank's level is controlled via the touch screen. Its basic purpose is to balance out the boat so the wake is not adversely affected by not having an observer; just a driver. I believe the new system is still on a timer like the 2014-20 ProStar. The factory told my dealer that the leaking issue at speed has been fixed for 2021 by using new Tsunami style pump (see my first post in this thread). I don't know whether it is one or two pumps. I assume this fixes the leak at a stand still also. The ballast tank level is also able to be saved and assigned to user profiles so when they are activated, the ballast will fill or drain to that saved level. Hope this helps.
  7. @Cnewbert the shipping would be nasty! I'll be sure to pick some nice colours for the boat just in case... Sounds like you've seen some great parts of Aus. Dee Why is an awesome spot from what I hear. I live in Melbourne and ski at Lake Eildon.
  8. @Cnewbert Yes, 'plenty of room' probably isn't the best phrase! For us I think it will be enough. It'll be mainly the boat cover and what's required by law for a boat on the lake in Australia - fold-up bucket, collapsable paddle (aprox. 1ft long) and a few other small items like a torch, which will probably be in the glove box anyway.
  9. @Cnewbert sounds like there is going to be plenty of room to spare. Thanks for the info!
  10. Hi Everyone, We've ordered a 2021 ProStar and were looking for some info regarding the MTS Ballast system. We frequently ski without an observer so we see value in having the MTS ballast and using it for its intended purpose of evening out the boat. Our only concern is how much storage under the observer's seat the tank takes up. If anyone has any photos of the tank under the observer's seat in a 2014-20 ProStar we would love to see them. I can't seem to find any photos. The MC Factory has confirmed that: "The tank is the same as 2014 MTS tank and in the same spot, against port side hullside. It uses tsunami style pumps now so it's quieter and impossible to drain back at speed. It overflows and drains overboard so you know when it's full and empty." All we want to keep under the observers seat is the boat cover. Do you think this would fit with the MTS tank? Thanks
