  1. Well I worked out a deal with @Clydesdale and bought his Senate Graphite. Mounted it and rode it, and I think it’s an excellent fit for me. I was expecting a learning curve but it felt great almost immediately. Large enough to be approachable and easy to ride, but feels like I have plenty of head room performance wise. I should have many years of good skiing in my future, starting with a long lake weekend over the holiday. Thanks all for the advice and to @Clydesdale. Cheers.
  2. @Clydesdale I sent you a PM. Sounds like a good possibility. Everybody else thanks for the input. Getting closer to a purchase hopefully.
  3. The good: I’ve been free ski slaloming for 25 years. I show ski and barefoot a lot so I can deep up on just about anything. The bad: I’m 6’-1”, 250 lbs, and kind of tired lol. Course experience is I ran 1-1/2 @ zero off at 30mph one time. Man those buoys come up quick! I currently have an O’Brien FreeRunner, which is basically a glorified combo ski. My take is it acts kind of funny, I don’t love it. I’ve ridden an HO Triumph 67, I liked that better and could tell it was a little small. But a 69 or 71 Triumph might work. I also ran my fiancée’s 67 HO Freeride. I really like the start and the ride on that one. My intention is 95% free skiing and maybe MAYBE hitting the course on the lake at some point. So with no brand loyalty in mind, and a pretty tight budget because it’s a side project (definitely interested in used if I can find one), anyone have recommendations? On my list currently is a 69/71 HO Freeride and a 69/71 HO Triumph, PS how would I decide which size to buy? Thanks!
  4. Looking to upgrade my girlfriend from a combo ski, hoping to find a Freeride 67 without breaking the bank. Thanks!
