  1. I added the extra 2. ??
  2. By the way, nice ski for your 1st ever. I just put a new boot and rtp I put my boot in the standard position and my rear toe as close as possible. Feels good so far and I haven’t experimented as only tried the setup once so far. Good luck
  3. Thanks everyone, I’ll see if I can rob a couple out of another.
  4. It’s 2022 model front boot. Base plate has 6 holes that line up but only 4 screws. It feels solid had first ski it it yesterday. Probably the new plate updated to only 4 as standard. My wife has a lyric with lyric boots that only have 4 screws but only has 4 holes. My old boot is went to a mates old syndicate a2. Great old ski but I put all the 6 screws in it. I could always add 2 but it seems like it’s unnecessary.
  5. Gday all, just put a new Radar vector boa boot on my ski. There were only 4 plate mounting screws in the box. I alway had six in my old boot plate. Is 4 enough and normal??? Thanks in advance

Ha. Great reply! Thanks for the great info. I do like the clean look of the direct connection but the plate is probably the go. I’m not a huge fan of rubber boots, animal ect. I really like lace up for there ease of use. Going to my local shop next week and will check out what they have. Usually a good range!
  7. Gday all, I am looking at replacing my old radar boot. I have 2020 carbon onmi and mainly free ski. What are thoughts on direct connex vs plate and which boot? Cheers and have a great 2022
  8. I went through this same situation earlier this year. I ended up buying the carbon onmi my mate the syndicate. They are both great skis imho. The carbon feels better to me, it feels more forgiving. My mate thinks he may have even bought the carbon if he had skied it first. That said we mainly free ski in open water. Neither of us have had a chance to try them on course yet. I’d be happy with either and when I bought my I could get a great deal on the carbon which was the ultimate decider for me.
  9. All good ideas. At the moment we are very much skiing for fun. Not sure if she will ever want to get into course.
  10. Wow fantastic response! Thanks so much. There are some great ideas to try. I think we will give them all a go! Thanks again.
  11. Gday all. We are having trouble distinguishing which foot forward for my 9yo daughter who is progressing to a single ski. She is left handed and we have done the push step test but she is unsure which is better. Is there a better way to determine or is it just feel. Thanks.
  12. I went through this exact same thing, I ended up with a 69 carbon onmi. I love it. We mainly ski open water. My mate bought the 69 syndicate onmi. We swap around, both are awesome skis. I prefer the carbon as it feels a little softer and more forgiving if the water isn’t perfect. I’d be happy with either.
  13. Got my carbon, rode it today in pretty rough water. Loved it!! Can’t wait for some glass tomorrow.
