There are a few courses up in Muskoka. I have one, another on go home Lake (Rob C), a few on Muskoka, one on long Lake in Bala, Bush's, Faerie Lake in Huntsville, a private one on swan Lake just outside of Port Carling, and I'm sure many, many more. Any "sites"? Bush's would be the best bet.  But I have a barbeque and a hot tub, and I'm happy to tow 🙂

For sure, promotional value alone of basically the biggest/only ski community online makes a lot of sense! 

What is the reality of the situation? Horton had probably explained in the past, but are you buying and selling, or getting promo boats, or what exactly? Also if you'd rather not say that is fine, whatever. I'm still looking forward to picking up a '21+ PS whenever my garage is finished.

Totally agree, I was just messing with you. And I think Kandi is my favourite. I have a tower on my Sport Nautique and will 💯 always have a tower on my ski boats. 

What's the tower for on Kandi? Surely not... Wakeboarding? Or god forbid, TUBING? 

I fluctuate +/- 5lb from 180 and have for the last 10 years or so. I'm 35, I was 165 at the end of high school. I made a massive effort to eat more and higher fat/protein foods to not constantly be struggling with a lack of energy and hunger. Most of the fluctuation is water weight I imagine. But I'm about to start a bit of weight training which I haven't done in years, so let's see what that does. 

Interesting device.  I really need to setup a ghetto version of this with a tree or something to figure out my offside position when entering and heading through the wakes. The turn is fine, it honestly might even be better than my onside when it's good. I'm not sure what happened, but whatever I had, let's say 2 years ago, I lost. Onside is just as strong and natural as ever but I've somehow gone backwards with my offside. If I can train some muscle memory or just get into a position that I can then replicate out there on the water, I think it would be beneficial for me getting through my goal of 14m@55kph. 

I'll have to get that app! That is slick af. So unfortunately I have nothing to contribute to the thread other than I seriously never thought of tracking stats like this.

Everything mechanical myself, except for body/upholstery work outside of buffing/waxing. I do not have the patience, experience, or skill to do fibreglass or upholstery. I had to have a small nick in the bow of the hull fixed ($1000) as well as the prop strut area redone. PO of my boat hit something and ripped it off, and "fixed" it himself. Was ok for one season, and then I started digging into it and didn't like what I saw. I think that repair was $1800, and that was after I completely prepped everything by removing the driveshaft, prop strut, interior pieces, etc so that it was fully accessible for them. I feel WAY better about the repair now after seeing their work. 

I noticed this trend as well. When I bought my boat in the spring of '21 there was nothing. I think there were 20 something listings on SIA. There has been over 100 for several months now, and I haven't seen it dip below 140 for a few months. Prices are moving, but slowly. Still not quite at the right place for '21+ Prostars for me, but most of those boats are essentially new.

I didn't know that this was a thing and I've been boating all my life.

@Horton - well now I am thinking about both.

This is fantastic, but the batteries and management system needs to be included or have options to choose from for it to be viable. Otherwise it's just a really Fing cool drive system that's not usable. I'm 100% for and committed to electric powered "stuff" but we really need to make progress on the storage side of things. I don't see lithium as the future, but understand that there's continuous and small breakthroughs that happen all the time and unfortunately aren't big enough for a large company to commit to because another improvement is just around the corner. Personally, I think in a few years, maybe as little as ten, there will be a massive storage and output advancement that will enable the phasing out of combustion engines. Electricity is absolutely the future.

Went out Wednesday evening, made it into November this year! Still using a wetsuit, don't have a dry suit, and spending about 30 min in the hot tub heating back up after, haha! My wife said "look cool" - not very good at that

I'm hoping to pick up a used but recent Response OB, 21+Prostar, or used but recent SN200 OB in the next couple years. Really want ZO, PPass is pretty inconsistent I find. Garage and boat lift with canopy first, though. My 94 Sport Nautique will have to do for a while yet, haha. It's good enough for now, and a good boat for the kids to learn some respect for material possessions without me having to worry about every little nick or scratch.

Hoping to head out tomorrow. I'm getting out only about once a week now. Water temp is 12c, air between 15-20 for now, will likely cut it off around the end of October. It's pretty damn cold even with a wetsuit and a hot tub waiting for me at home.

From what I can gather, it seems as though boats aren't selling like they used to. When I was looking in the thick of covid, there was almost nothing on SIA - like 20 listings or less, and even less locally up here in Ontario (I eventually drove to Nova Scotia to pay too much for a Sport Nautique, whoops). Now there's over 140 listings, and many have dropped prices. From older boats to newer, it just seems as though there are less buyers. If you financed and can get what you owe out of it, that'd be a win in my book, but I have no idea what that number is so it may be way off. If you don't owe much on it, then pricing becomes more difficult.

There's a single 2019 on SIA with 1000 hours and it's listed at 99k. Here's a link. Good luck with the sale, that colour is beautiful!

That's unreal.

I've skid behind a 2020 and loved the ski, only gripe was -22 but not that big of a deal. I'd like to upgrade from my 94 SportNautique, and I had settled on either a newer 200 or a Prostar - need open bow, tower would be nice as kids wakeboard, but slalom would be the focus. New 200s are (were?) 30k more than a Prostar, so I settled on a Prostar.

Are all the upgrades/updates worth it to focus on 21 boats and newer? Seems like 2019+/- is a real sweet spot in terms of boats on the market and pricing. If I was buying new I'd finance half three boat or so. I think my best course is to watch the used listings and see what happens by next spring. Only trying is if I decide to order new I'll be waiting an unknown amount of time, but at least a year and a half.

@escmanaze exactly! It's basically full throttle from in gear forward and then I'm up on the ski in what feels like a second or two.
