  1. @LeonL @Jody_Seal Thanks for the help, wanted to let you know that the cruise has been fixed. The ZO can wires were connected to the wrong wires on the main boat harnass. So a factory fault...So if anyone has this problem with a 343 PCM: check if the can wires are connected to pin 16 and 17 of the big round plug at the back of your engine!
  2. I found this wireing diagram from a 210 super air nautique. Its a different boat, but it has the same 343 engine. I can see the round plug, marked with ''Perfect pass connection''. I think this is the same round plug as i got on my boats harnass. On the wireing diagram two of the pins on that plug are canbus high and low. I think im on to something here!
  3. Those two wires connect to a 8 pinn plug on my boat. I think i can see that 8 pin plug on your photos to, so i think thone braided wires should be there somewhere
  4. Can you see two braided cables going towards the dash somewhere? On my boat its just two wires braided around eachother, with a ribbed protection tube around it. Those two are the canbus wires that connect the boat with the ZO unit. I need to know where they should be attached to, since i believe mine are attached to the wrong ones... Im not near my boat at the moment, otherwise i could make a pic of what i mean.
  5. It is at the back of the engine. a bunch of cables / connectors come out of the main boats cable harnass. (looks just as on the photo in my last post). Its located on the starboard side of V drive gearbox. On my boat the engine is all the way in the back, i can lift the whole back bench + engine covers so i can get suepr good acces. Not to sure how good you can find them if you can only acces the engine from the top. Basicly what i am looking for is the connection between the ZO harness and the boats harness. On my boat they hooked the ZO up on the 8 pin connector on the pic above, but i believe i should be on the round one according to the picture in the manual. If u can find that on ur boat that would help me out a lot! Thanks!
  6. I might have found something here..Maby some of you knows this. I was checking the mainenance manual of the PCM 343 engine, and i saw this picture. It shows the boats cable harnas. On my boat the two canbus wires are connected to the 8 pin plug. But on the foto it sais the round plug should be the speedcontrol / can bus connector. As i can tell by this photo my ZO was (factory) attached to the ''Check guages lamp'' and ''tachometer'' wire. Not so strange that it aint working.. Does anyone know what cables i need to attach them to? Maby there is someone with a PCM 343 who can take a picture where their can wires are attached to?
  7. @Jody_Seal yea i know, thats the confusing part..The canbus connections all look good. When i check the connection with a multimeter from the back of the ZO unit to the 8 pin plug that goes into the boats harnass the connection is perfect. The ZO has 0 canbus faults in the diagnostics screen. The faults does appear when i unplug the canbus wire from the boats harnas, and it dissapears when i plug it back in, so you'd say the canwires are fine.. I have thought about installing two new can wires from the main boats harnas to the plug on the back of the ZO unit to make sure there cant be any faults in any plugs possible. I will be useing braided canbus wire. Any thoughts on that idea?
  8. Ill try that out next time i have the boat out. So basiclly full throttle when it beeps...Lets hope that works!
  9. @Jody_Seal i have no RPM signal at the display. When i put it on RPM only mode it sais 0 RPM while the enigine is running. This should be a canbus problem, but it has 0 faults in the diagnostics screen. When i unplug the can wires the fault: J1938_txfail. When i plug the wires back in the fault goes away. The fact that it has no RPM should mean that there is a canbus problem, but since it has 0 faults in the diagnostic screen you'd say there isent...bit strange huh? @LK_skier Lest hope that im doing something wrong, that would solve the problem right away!:D Allright, so i set my ZO in wakeboard mode since all i want to do is maintain the set speed. I set the speed to lets say 22miles per hour, and i put it ON (right bottem of the screen). Now i pull my skieer from the water using the throttle. When the speed im going is near the set speed the ZO unit gives me a beep noise. Normally the ZO should take over (right?), but at this point nothing happens. When i dont touch the throttle the boat will go faster/slower just as if there was no cruisecontrol..
  10. any ideas how to check if i have got the right ECM filmware? The boat has factory ZO cruise, so id say the ECM and ZO should work together.
  11. Is it possible to update that?
  12. I have thought about installing two new can wires from the main boats harnas to the plug on the back of the ZO unit to make sure there cant be any faults in any plugs possible. I will be useing braided canbus wire. Any thoughts on that idea?
  13. Hey guy, you might be able to help me out here! Ive got a 2011 wakecraft ZR6 with a 343 PCM engine. my ZO doesnt control the boats speed, and doesnt read the RPM's just like you discribed... So i thought there must be a bad connection in the can wire, but the strange thing is that the diagnostics page on the ZO unit has got 0 faults, and when i check the wires they have a good connection from the rear of the ZO unit till the 8 pin block thats connects into the boats harnas. (checked it with a buzzer on my multimeter, had perfect connection beginning to end). When i disconnect the blue/purple canbus wire it gives me J1938_txfail fault code. The code goes away when i plug it back in. When i unplug the blue/white canbus wire, and leave the blue/purple one connected it doesent give me any faults. Any thoughts?? Im at a dead end here =/ Thanks!
  14. I checked the diagnostics, but it has 0 faults. Whenever i disconnect the blue/purple canbus wire it gives me a fault. When the blue purple one is connected and i disconnect the blue white one it doesent give me a fault.. So basiclly the ZO unit gives me 0 faults, but it wont control the boats speed, and it wont show the rpm. Any ideas??
  15. Jep i have a round ZO unit. Black background, but same buttons. Ill try that tomorrow, thanks!
