  1. So I replaced my lower lace with a lighter weight bungee style lace. Took out the cinch piece and just tied a knot at the tension i liked. The boot is plenty tight for me in the fore foot. I kept the upper stock lace but tightened up the bungee so there Was less cord to deal with.
  2. So I have skied long periods of time on both set ups. The edge boot is a tighter fit than the reflex. They are both good products however the edge has little more solid connection to the plate and ski. However I didn’t feel a performance advantage to this feel. But what i did notice is the edge system would not want to release on a twisting fall as well as the reflex. ON a out the front fall they were equal. The reflex was safer to me if twisting. Most of my mistakes are out the front so they BOTH drew blood on my rear shin equally!!! The reflex boot was harder to get adjusted the same each set and I preferred the buckles on the edge for that reason. Neither boot moved freely at all until I used a white collar reflex boot. The white collar boot is a touch softer on the top and moved nice. The Edge boot has touch more knee forward over the toe stance and doesn’t move back as far as the reflex boots. Hope this helps some.
  3. Seths not available any longer. I contacted them earlier this year and they directed me to trophy.
  4. Yeah I know about Trophy. I was just hoping there was something closer.
  5. Anyone know of a place to get some sets in around Myrtle beach. Im gonna be there 8/11 - 8/15, and I’d like to get a couple sets in while there. I’d pay to play… Thanks
  6. Can someone tell me the differences between a 9970 and a XTR cc? I’ll call Goode for they’re input but I’d like some outside feedback and education. The 9970 design came before I started skiing and I cant find any comparisons to the skis.
  7. How do I convert the fin settings from a slot caliper and jaws measurement to tips and flat tail? I really don’t want to pay 160 bucks to get some measurements…. Help a fella out!
  8. I’m 155# and on a small. I ski to 34 and spend a lot of time at 32 and 33 sometimes down to 30 and 31 if i need to slow down a lot. My c85 is the easiest to adapt to speed of the skis i have.
  9. Ive ignored this post. However my count went to 1 this past week.
  10. Im gonna throw this in for thought… if you are on a wide ski from HO the transition to a Denali could be difficult. The widths of the skis vary based on the weight of the skier. If you are on a wider ski from HO the Denali will feel very different. The C85 is my #1 ski in my quiver, its as fast as any, slows down easier, and turns cleaner (more forgiving when on the front) with poor posture, than any ski I’ve been on yet… however your dead if you get on the back of it! The Denali gave me a better Gas pedal and a better Break!
  11. Sorry but that’s 2 flips short of my best this year… Keep trying!
  12. Definitely upgrade the ski! Find skis to try in your area. Look for the faster ski that you can still slow down.
  13. So after consideration of everyone’s advise and how I learned to ski 15 off, I started at 22 off and 30mph. Ran the pass into and down wind once. Bumped up to 32mph and ran it 4 times where the last pass downwind I only ran 4. Whet to 34 mph and ran the pass the first time with ease! Down wind not so much but still managed 4 ball with a fight. I would have never slowed down to 30 without some convincing. Thanks for the advise guys, it did help.
  14. Of course your right… but its still pretty coarse for me!
  15. SO I’m a rookie, 48yrs old, 10 month experience rounding buoys. 5@ 22 -34 is my best. I run a lot of 15@32 and try to work on my form there and can run 22@32 regularly, I have not tried 28 off at any speed. My question is; should I continue to cut the rope at 32 on occasion to test myself or go up into 34 proficiently before I begin to cut he rope past 22 off? My goal is to run up into 34!
