  1. Thanks all. It is the rtp without the boa and i have tried tightening as much as possible but that seems to push my foot out even if i start with my foot jammed in. I feel more movement than i would like with the rear foot at all times when skiing but only slips off on the offside turn. I have never had a problem with the rear foot movement on other skis but i am also probably skiing more aggressively on my new ski. I know i need to work on my turns but i might try and get some form of grip tape as well as. Would love to get some coaching, unfortunately that is not available anywhere near me. Cheers
  2. First ski in a year (only get 1 or 2 a year) and my first ski on the first ski i have ever owned. Loved the ski! Temp was 32degC and the water was perfect but it is summer here!
  3. Thanks, now just counting down the days til i can try out the new ski!!
  4. Thanks Tige and swbca. I will set it close and see how it feels. Can’t wait to give it a crack!
  5. Ok thanks all. I will follow this advice and see how it skis before worrying about any further adjustments. Cheers
  6. @Zman, Would love to mate but the 15,000km commute to the lake might be a but much!
  7. Well unfortunately it was called off due to lightning. I suppose that is a fair call. @Zman & @The_MS, now that is just cruel!
  8. Haha i expected to be told to suck it up and get out there. @Horton that looks like a good day at my local dam.
  9. When you only get to ski a couple of times a year on a dam that is so choppy it has white caps but still go for as many skis as possible. Am at least 6 months away from my next ski but have just ordered a new ski and still look at BOS everyday.
  10. Thats the plan @skialex , i have never owned a ski before so was more curious for a time in the future where i am hopefully at a level to want to worry about adjustments. At this stage i just can’t wait to get my new ski and have a crack!
  11. Thanks @chrislandy i ended up finding a 2021 Senate alloy on sale which i have ordered ?. Can’t wait to give it a crack!
  12. Thanks all, i bought the alloy over the graphite as it looked more forgiving in rough open water conditions, with my only qualm being the lack of adjustable fin so having the upgrade option is awesome. Thanks @Killer but i am in Aus so may not be practical. Cheers
  13. Thanks @C5Quest, do you know if you can retrofit the adjustable fin to the alloy? Cheers
  14. Thanks all, @chrislandy might have a good point there. I usually ski at 34mph which the O’Brian loved but the combo was rubbish when trying to make a turn. So it might not be made for that speed and hence the issue. I will make sure i check out the specs of the skis i am looking at.
  15. Thanks jjackkrash and Stevie Boy. I would love to try before i buy but unfortunately there isn’t that opportunity around me. I would be happy to keep skiing on my mates o’brian but is just too short for me which is the reason i am looking for a new ski. Can fail 10 times before getting up where i can get up first time on a longer ski, i dont have access to the Connelly HP anymore. Same with second hand, not much around in my neck of the woods.
