  1. Most of his issues are coming from the gate IMO. Doing the somewhat hybrid one handed gate like it currently is, is really impacting on line control at the turn in. This is causing a delay in getting on the gas and not being in an ideal body position into the first wake. Either go later on the pull out and have less of a glide, or stay on the handle with 2 hands for longer with a slower release. In other words, go watch video after video of Terry Winter. The goal of being able to maintain better line control through the turn in, is to hopefully be a little better (dare I say it) stacked behind the boat, and not rely on muscling things as much with his upper body. Seems to be a lot of arm pulling going on, which is reducing outbound swing, width and speed also.
  2. @"Mateo Vargas" I was thinking Christian. Christian Grey. Or 39 shades. 39 is typically grey.
  3. How many pro events have we had in the last few years where there has been a photo taken on the bank that would suggest the official score is incorrect? Happens all the time now.
  4. @fox197 the Aus market isnt that simple.. Do you know that a new TXI with a tower, ZO, few odds and ends is 110k+? A friend of mine is selling his promo with the 6.2 for 98k. 200 sales for us are a different story. Basically, for the aus dealers to get a build slot for a 200 has been very difficult. Other than the 2 moomba boats, its been near impossible to get a new 200 sent to aus for a few years.
  5. @flanker978 if your budget allows, I would suggest trying to look for a 2001 or newer response.
  6. @flanker978 ive skied behind a sorrento a number of times. Wake is perfectly fine for skiing. As far as aussie boats go, its certainly one of the better ones, possibly the best, up there with the moomba. One boat I would say you HAVE to stay away from is the skicraft senator. By far the worst boat to slalom behind out of any of the aus designed boats. A 10 year old malibu response lx with a wedge and tower is still far better than any other aus boat. Drive, ski and compare a response to xfi, skicraft or anything else and I bet you prefer the malibu.
  7. Can completely agree @ozski . Ive been on it for the last 2-3 weeks. I have not felt this comfortable on a ski in a long time. I had a few gates and 1's at 35 off (58k) last weekend that I have never had before. The 'Terry settings' did not work so well for me and I am currently a bit shorter in length. This ski does nothing crazy, but it just works. Doesnt feel like it sits deep, but happily turns anytime and I would call it a 'fast' and light ski to ride.
  8. I am also a wound care specialist. Could be pseudomonas. A bug commonly found in infected wounds that causes green puss basically. Wash it with vinegar for a few days and see if it helps.
  9. I am a into 35 off skier, and can relate to some of the points raised here. Having tried 6+ high end skis in recent years the ski dictated a lot about how much I felt with it when it came to changes. The ski I rode this weekend, I made a .020 DFT change and felt a small difference and same score. On my regular ski, a .010 DFT change the wrong way would have me drop a pass or more.
  10. I am in the process of trying to track one down. I have been told the 66" measures out to a 67", but that is not unusual for some HO skis in recent years and im currently on a 66 HO. At 145-150 and skiing at 36, should I be considering a 65? weight @scotchipman? and I assume you are at 34.
  11. I was fortunate enough to ride a few of the prototypes last Australian summer before the flex was settled on. I ran right up to my average, right off the dock with fairly stock numbers that I would have played with a little with more sets on it. I have no doubt the final production ski is better than what I rode. Looking forward to riding it once things warm up a little more over here!
  12. Any word on how the lithium will line up compared to the pro? Is it just the core - PVC vs PMI, or is there differences in flex etc?
  13. If you are only open water skiing and I am assuming you ski less than 36mph, the VTR is an amazing feeling ski and you may not get the benefit out of the pro. I believe there were some durability issues with the binding spine.
  14. I have watched as much video of Rossi that I could get my hands on, online for the past 15 years. The path he is skiing, especially into 2-4 looks a lot different than anything else I have seen him ski.
  15. A few of my ski partners are there. Apparently you could pick one up for 220-250k EUROS!
  16. great topic though.. The GOAT - Andy. Without doubt the best 2-4 you could ever want. For entertainment value Jamie B, T Mo, Jeff Rogers. But my all time favourite, would love to ski like, has to be Rossi. I could watch his 1-3-5 all day long. trick - Nick LaForestier jump - Fitzy!
  17. 2002 HO ASX. Basically a little wider than the CDX - a legendary ski from HO for a number of years. It looks in fantastic condition for 15 years old. A modern comparison would be the ASX as a senate to a vapor graphite, just a little wider than the top end ski. It will feel like a slow heavy pig to a modern ski, but for its era, it was decent.
  18. how are people finding the release-ability of the boot? It makes sense that it is virtually the same as a reflex, but potentially with less ability to twist out and pre release due to the shape of the toe loop and plate negative? I am currently on a black shell reflex and strongly considering making the switch next season.
  19. chet, lapoint brothers, Bruce Dodd.. certainly a fair number can run into 41. Harald Hintringer while not 60 yet can take down 39 better than most and often gets deep down 41.
  20. Interesting little fact.. Jason McClintock is currently the only LFF skier in the top 10 on the ranking list.
  21. Fantastic effort. thanks for putting it together. I am struggling to remember what it was called exactly.. skitek.net? PJ McMillan and/or Chris Rossi's old website, had a decent amount of fin setting data. obviously for skis several years old now, but it would be fantastic if their efforts were not lost completely and it could be incorporated into your app.
  22. I would love the switches and harnesses! I will be more than happy to pay postage!
  23. I saw Aaron Larkin hit the boat. Made a hell of a bang. Sure freaked out the boat crew. Waldie (Driver) threw it into neutral and stopped. Fairly certain it was scored a half by memory, but Aaron said afterwards that he went through the guides with the boat so technically it should have been a full point. If it was scored a full point, it would have made the boat time very interesting, as the gas was well and truly off by the time this was taken. That is the first time I have ever seen that photo @Cam, thanks for sharing.
