  1. Chef, You need to start your turn in at a point that is constant boat type to boat type with the two hand. Only thing constant there will be to use the pylon in relation to the boat gate or else use Schnitz's bouy line up for the turn in.ÂÂ
  2. JTH,  Might want to find out what fin setting MS is using on that A-1 of his or what kind of tequila He's poppin! Little bird told me he ran into 39 a couple of times yesterday down in a "Bama" tourney. We both know he's just not that good unaided!! MS what's the real story?
  3. MS I appreciate that but swerving outside the gate on the ball side is a little much! Could I please just use your rope from Dr. Michaels? ÂÂÂ
  4. In response to Hortons comments above I too have railed against ZO's pull. As far as I was concerned the GPS in ZO and Gazer stood for Garbage Pull Systems! I am a scrapper and have skied a Sixam 1.0 since 04. Tournament scores are two passes less this year than last year.  Switched to a different Sixam with the same results. Last week I skied on a Radar RS-1 and the dam thing is so fast in comparison that I didn't really notice the ZO. The ski maintains speed through the turns so well that I don't think the boat knows I'm there! I certainly didn't get the bone crushing throttle response I was expecting when on the Sixam. Now, If MS could drive a straight line through the course that would help too!!! Style, ski, technique, water temp, boat mass, etc. all make a difference especially with GPS speed controls. ÂÂÂ
  5. Didn't see stock numbers for 04 Sixam 1.0 so here you go. These came from Andy with the ski. I am still on it. Sixam 1.0 66      Bind @ 29 1/4 " DFT 0.81  L 6.823    D 2.50 67.5:  Bind @ 29 7/8"  DFT 0.80  L 6.845   D 2.515 69       Bind @ 30 3/4"  DFT 0.78  L 6.860   D 2.532 Sixam 1.1 Binding placement below. Fin numbers are the same as above. 66   Bind @ 29 1/2" 67.5 Bind @ 30" 69    Bind @ 30 3/4 Cheers!
  6. I cut a front puzzle piece on a duel lock 250 held HDPE plate that was thicker than the boot plate and cut to overlap the boot plate by 1/8 of an inch. Never had a Front pre-release but did release when it needed to. Just can't seem to get used to hard shells.
  7. One has to remember that the stock settings for binding or fin settings are averages. Good places to start but are not carved in stone. Binding settings vary with temperature just as fin settings do. I got away from chasing fin settings three years ago and now move my bindings forward for colder water and back for warm. Can vary by up to three holes with my approaches on a 2004 1.0 Sixam. Performance about the same either chasing fin numbers or binding movements.
  8. Not sure about everyone else but as I get older (51) my body takes a longer time to recover. I have some of my best days after a 4-5 day layoff. If I relax and just ski ( don't think), my muscle memory takes over and I ski well. The quote "less is more" definitely applies here. When tired, I ask my body to do things it's not ready to do and then force things to compensate for mistakes which then keep compounding!!ÂÂÂÂ
