  1. Without seeing you ski I would guess that the ski setup is totally irrelevant, I would venture a guess that you may be counter rotating with your upper body but your hips are the ones that need to lead, not your upper body. Most people end up on the tail when the counter rotation is done improperly from what I've seen.
  2. Off of the FM Website  FM Decorative Handle Insert/Guard The original FM handle guard was cool back then, and is even cooler now. The FM handle insert is available in a convenient adjustable version (or we can cut to size at n/c) made from a tough, quality polymer available in a lux-soft or pro-comp stiffer flex.  You may also order at additional cost the "Bling" version which is a custom composite material, vibrant color over a poly-gem clear coat. Colors available are Hyper Black, Ferrari(HO) Red, Envy Green, Cobalt Blue, or Fly Yellow. Measure your handle vee from the inside of the handle edge to the joining of the ropes to ensure the correct size is selected. The insert is adjustable for length, positioning and to some extent width. The U-Trim/we-Trim version fits handles vees approx 8" to 12". The Bling verison comes in an "8" (~8"-9" Vee) and 10 (9.5 to 11" Vee) sizes. The FM handle insert is not intended as safety device, although it will obviously reduce the size of the handle opening. There is not enough information available at this time to determine whether such a device will reduce the chance of skier injury, or cause a greater risk of injury. Nor is a device such as this recommended by USA Waterski, the IWSF or WSWB Canada at this time.ÂÂÂ
  3. So I spoke to someone with Radar and the "Black" RS-1 is no different than the white one, it was just specially made for the nationals as a LTD edition. The person is a VERY reliable source, and I don't think he's feeding me BS.
  4. From what I have gotten shipped to me, the 67" and larger RS-1's have the grey fin, the smaller skis are using the black fin as of this week still. Haven't compared the two yet as far as shape, which was the difference between the gold and black of last year, according to RIni.ÂÂÂ
  5.  When I installed SG in ours it was a faster first segment, 1 and 3 ball times were about .06 - .08 fast and then the boat slowed after 3 ball, which you could feel coming into 4 ball . Had to adjust the settings for gate,1 and 3 ball and now worst case scenario is .01 either way, took a bit of monkey nuttin around but now it's a great consistant pull. eleeski did you try to use the '+' or '++' setting on SG? It is supposed to add more of a pull/throttle off of the buoy.
  6. HA HA! Your a funny guy too Andy! That would explain the Blue hair! But I'm stylin a Mullet I think in that pic, nice!
  7. My 2 cents. I have SG on our boat and have skied the older version of ZO. I found that 'C' (which is now 'A'?) is similar in type of pull, meaning a smoother no noticable increase in throttle off the ball, a steady pull. The difference I felt was that ZO felt like a stronger pull through the course, so maybe a little hotter time on SG will replicate the feel of ZO 'C' (or new 'A').
  8. Tequilla!!! /vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif Maybe you need to add the skier is also done when esophageal expulsion occurs rule too.
  9. Forgivness is easier to obtain than permission
  10. Uh thanks for the little pic thingy, I think? But wth is it? Just curious as to how I got so lucky to have whatever that is? But really thanks! It's better than a kitty like MS!ÂÂÂ
  11. A-1 to RS-1, two totally different skis. I found that the RS creates it's angle more at the buoy and has a more pronounced edge change, it's faster cross course. The A-1, you can feel it build angle as it gets to the wake and you don't have as strong of a feeling of edge change as the RS, it also feels like you are standing almost flat on the ski in the preturn, feels like a board under your feet. Pretty secure. I Think they are both awesome skis and first set on the A-1 ran 1/2 a buoy off my PB which I set on the RS. I never liked the MPD, hated it actually. I found the RS to be different than the MPD.
  12. Have one for sale if anyone is interested, 66.25 1 set on it. $750 can dollars.
  13. Length 6.818 tips Depth 2.5065 DFT .762 Wing 9 deg First set on it yesterday ran 2 1/2 @ 35 @ 36mph off the dock, 1/2 a buoy off my personal best. Been skiing on a RS-1. THe two skis are very different from each other, but obviously either one works.

    A-1 #'s?

So the #'s that were on the ski from the factory are: 2.499 depth 6.8745 tips .7615 dft Buddy of mine may try it tonight, can't seem to pry myself off the RS-1 to try it, will let you know his thoughts tommorow.

    A-1 #'s?

34 or 36 mph #'s Ham? Compared the A-1 to the SS bottom, they are pretty much identical till after the rear boot. The A-1 has rounded edges and the SS stays with the sharp 45 degreeish edges all the way to the tail. Anybody got an idea what the two differences will create?

    A-1 #'s?

The sheet inside the box only has Monza and System 8 #'s on it. I will measure the fin tonight and let you know where it is at, bottom looks very close to the SS, will find out tonight about that also when I get it home. Flat black paint on the top, easy for touch ups I guess!
  17. Anyone got any numbers for the A-1, 66.25 or 67.5?
  18. Just installed mine yesterday, absolutely awesome, unreal smooth linear pull. '03 196 w/excalibur, put all my baselines in from the previous version, went out on the course and all times were exact with me and my two boys in the boat, no skier. Two skiers after that one @ 34, myself @ 36 and the worst time we got on both was .01 slow (eg.16.09). Wiht the 34 mph skier coming in to the course the speed read 35 ish and came down from there, first three balls were a little faster than actual, like .02 or.03, nothing really and the reast of the pass was dead on. Used the one ball timing setup. You can try and adjust your KX setting to + or ++ and pretty sure there is some kind of setting for up to 3 ball, never really got too deep into manual besides initial setup since it worked perfect out of the box.
  19. The "line lock" is the fin block I have on my SS. I'm just used to using the Goode, HO and Fischer's with set screws which seems to help me get the job done faster and easier to the finer detail, the Obrien block is a pain, tough to get exact #'s on it. ÂÂÂ
  20. I own an SS and absolutley hate to adjust the fin, anyone know of any other to replace it with in the existing holes? HO, Goode and Radar are all no good, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  21. Just curious if anyone has Fin #'s for a Monza @ 36mph
