  1. I am sure for a small fee, he will share the method with you /vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif
  2. Thanks John, I think there may be something to it, as I saw this a Schnitz's site A friend of mine Earl Mayhew has invented a way to calibrate your caliper so you can get an accurate FORWARD-BACK measurement from one caliper to another. Stay tuned for the article.
  3. Whats puzzles me though, is that on their site there is .050 difference between the two methods. On their supplied documentation with a ski , there is a .040 difference. I also think that the difference between the two methods varies with caliper manufacturer.
  4. John, When are you seeing Matt, I live about 30 mins away, wouldn't  mind hooking up with you guys. You can come and ski at my club if you want some more practice during the trip.
  5. ED, Who is your coach of choice?. What did he work on with you that really helped your skiing the most? thanks
  6. Everyone else would be puppies ./vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif Good job he is not eligible
  7. Check out the article on Schnitzs home page. Andy is simply awesome !!! . I have watched him from the boat skiing at 34mph and the time he creates is simply amazing. I saw him waiting on the balls at 39 /vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif
  8. Looking at DFT measurements from D3, I have found conflicting information. On their website, there is a 0.050 difference in measuring with needle vs flats. On a ski set up sheet provided by them, there is a .040 diference between the methods. I prefer to use the flats method as I never find the needle method to be repeatable. Does anyone know if there is a constant conversion factor between the methods, or does it vary from caliper to caliper.
  9. Thanks, john. Can't wait to try the new ride !
  10. For the skiers who really liked the fisher, has it persuaded you to drop $1300 on one ?
  11. John, Do you have the set up numbers for the 67 RCX used in the ski test?
  12. Just wondering what % of you guys use a rear kicker or a full boot. What are your reasons, and pro vs cons of both. Does a rear boot make the skier favour their back foot? . I use a rear kicker and was thinking of making the switch. I guess, I like most Brits, grew up with kickers and have stuck to them ever since. John, Maybe you could set up a pole on this. Thanks
  13. M/M , I assume is masters men. 34 mph.
  14. I saw it mentioned by Seth on his review of the Warp 7,see below http://www.h2osmosis.com/gear.php3
  15. Just wondering if anyone had heard, seen or ridden the new Nomad. What changes have been made?
  16. Ok, tried the slotfin and mini wing today. I felt the offside turns were improved as the ski seemed to finish better. However the ski felt slower and all of the passes were hard work and I was running them all late. SS suggests that the fin is set to certain numbers and left. I was wondering if anyone had tried different numbers, especially for depth. Otherwise, its back to the 106! Thanks
  17. Thanks, would I make any changes to those numbers with the 106 CBR fin?
  18. Joe, What fin changes should I make for the 67". Wing or no wing for 34mph?
  19. My friend has an 08 promo MC. It came with Stargazer and zero off, although he is still waiting for the ZO dash display. I Didnt really get chance to find out all the details on the system, but give me a few days and I will get back to you. I dont believe there are any adjustments, I did see him put it in practice mode to give a slower time for one guy.
  20. Anyone got any experience with fin settings for a 67 Nomad RC at 34mph.. I am using the 106 carbon fin . I have set it up to stock settings with the front binding all way forward with a D3 boot(30 1/4" I think). The ski seemed faster than my old X5 initially but has seemed to lost its fire, maybe as water temp dropped from mid 80's to 68 deg. Anyone have any other set ups that has worked for them. I took the wing off today, but had a strong head/tail which made it hard to really compare. On a side note, we skied behind Stargazer today, 16.94's and 16.95's with strong head tail. Sweet pull, you do have to be more patient off the ball though, as the pull from the boat seemes to come on a little later. ThanksÂÂÂÂ
  21. Ed, Were they 08 Nomads you tried. If so any comments or feedback on the skis Thanks
  22. The whole Zo Vs Stargazer deal. PP seemed quiet at first, but I think Stargazer may head off the Zo challenge. The fact that it can be fitted to pre-07 boats will open up the biggest market to them. Cant wait for my upgrade. My buddy has stargazer in his 08 MC and so far its awesome.
  23. Anyone skied one?. I heard it was supposedly designed for 34mph, as top line skis will tend to ride deeper than they were originally designed to(36mph skis). Also heard there are some 100% carbon versions being tested. Anyone have any comments on this ski, or the whole 34 v 36 mph ski design
  24. With no disrespect to John and his fins, does anyone have any comment about the slotfin. I am thinking about trying it on my 67 Nomad RC.Thanks
  25. Roger, What ski is your buddy on now, what didnt he like about the Fish?
