  1. I'm on a 67 endo, which I belive is the same as the 67 G5. It is the best ski I've ever been on. I've only had a chance to ski in three tournaments on it and I've tied my pb and set two new pb's. I think @Horton did a very good job summing up the ski. Be calm and let the ski do the work, and it will put a smile on your face.
  2. Skiing on the Endo/G5, I must say it is the best ski I have ever skied on. I have tied my PB and set two new PB's in the three tournaments I've skied in on this ski. It's fantastic. I'm on a 67, but my settings are a lot different then yours. 29.5. 6.835(tips), 2.510, .710, and 8 degrees on the wing.
  3. I would like to totally renounce my previous post. In the three tournament rounds since I got on the endo, and tweaked the fin a little, I have tied my tournament PB twice and got a PB by 1/2 buoy. Still a long way away from my practice PB. Hurt my back on the last round, so laying on a heating pad, drinking a beer, with a smile on my face.
  4. I think there has been a bit of a misunderstanding. I'm not looking to make any changes to the set up of my ski. It's working great. I was just curious about the real effects of dft. It just seemed like the changes I made to dft were counterintuitive. Maybe a better question would be why do you change dft and what are the results? Does it raise or lower the tip of the ski?

  5. I thought I understood it, but evidently I don't. Fin forward makes for a shorter ski, that turns quicker with less tip in the water. Got a new ski and they recommend the bindings be set at 28.75. The farthest I could go back was 29.5. I've always heard that if you move your bindings forward you should move your fin forward so stock was .735, so I moved the fin forward to .755. Had a ton of tip in the water. So I moved it all the way to .800, and it was slightly better, but the ski was so aggressive, it was almost impossible to ski.

I was told to move it back to .715. The ski was millions times better, with less tip in the water. Makes we wonder if the sensation I was feeling was not too much tip in the water, but the ski just turning too quickly?

  6. My jumpers and slalom ski blew off my car going down the highway about two weeks before Regionals. Pretty much ruined my slalom, and bashed in the tail of my jumper. I sent my jumpers out to Goodman's and not only did he fix them for free, he shipped them back to me at no charge. I didn't even buy my jumpers originally from him, I got them used. It's not like he knows who I am either, but he has a customer for life now. Cant say how grateful and impressed I am with him. Cant thank him enough.
  7. I have had a few practice sets on a 67 Endo, and have it pretty well dialed in now. It is a very very good ski. Enough so that I'm now selling my lightly used 67 A3 if anyone is interested. I'm accepting offers and interesting trades. Think I was just too heavy for the A3 at 6-4 210.

I really liked the A3 a lot, but I have to say I love the Endo. I shied away because of the lack of people skiing on it, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to try one. Fantastic ski at a ridiculously low price. Best way I could describe it, is a nice blend between the Elite and the Sixam. I can only get my bindings back to 29.5 and the fin settings are 6.835, 2.510, .710, and 8 degrees.

Somebody buy my A3 so I can buy this Endo.
