  1. @KcSwerver I've skied with my bindings at 30 and the ski actually feels great, but when I had the bindings that far forward I couldn't get any width on the boat. Skied really good at 28 and 32, but was a problem at 35 and 38. Moved the binder back, and now 35 is pretty easy.

I would show your dad the HO website with the stock settings, and show him that your are at stock settings for that ski.

  2. 80 miles one way with the boat. Two trailer flats last year. Of course, my trailer didn't come with a spare. Got one now. I try to bum rides whenever possible. Have a lake 15 minutes from my house, but you have to be invited to ski. So, I don't get out there very often. Public course about 25 minutes, but it is almost always rough. Skied last week, on a weekday around 6:30 pm, in the rain, and still had a guy out there pulling an inner tube.
  3. You are not actually going to get the handle all the way over to your left knee. You are trying to get your shoulders, knees, hips, and skis all pointing in the same direction. The top left corner of the ramp. The tendency is for your shoulders to open to the boat, like in slalom. You want to resist that, and people will say get your handle to your left knee, they really mean keep the handle down and in, and don't open your shoulders to the boat. A sling will actually help that. I would also work on getting your skis together and get up on the balls of your feet. Both starting in your turn for the ramp.
  4. +1 on kindly. It looks like you are sitting back on your skis, even pulling out on your counter. Also looks like you are starting with your skis wide and turning with your left ski. It looks like you're keeping a lot of weight on your left foot. Like kindly said get your handle to your left knee. Skis will slip out if you are not balanced over them. if your skis are apart they will slip. You are cutting hard enough to warrant a sling.

  5. I've have the same issue getting this ski set up. I had the fin all over the place and basically made the ski unskiable. Moved the binder to 30" and the ski turned fantastic, but I couldn't even get out to one ball at 35. I was at the point where I was either going to move up to a 68 or switch to another ski. Went back to stock fin and binder settings and made a few small fin adjustments and I love the ski again. Haven't missed a 35 since. I haven't run a 38 yet, but that is because I'm butchering my gates.

  6. 1@39 at the beginning of summer then blew up my ski. Only ran 2 32's after that. Stuck at 2@38 on new ski, but it's starting to come around. Just happy to be skiing. Good skiing @skoot1123. I do the same thing. Every time I think I have a pass run, 5 ball shows me I don't.
