Thanks
I haven't noticed the gauges but I'll check more tomorrow.
Does water in gas ever cause a backfire?
-
would that be the same as the tank overflow?
-
about 4 engine hrs ago, I completely drained the tank and then put in that new inline filter...ran perfect for a bit then the same thing all over

My 2009 196 with 343 engine has been having trouble. It seems like a fuel thing to me. It will plane off get to 34, then lose rpm, bog down, some backfiring. It will run at idle no problem. It just happens at speed. I replaced the inline fuel filter and it ran fine for about 4 hrs. Then same thing. I checked the primary pump on the side of the fuel cell and it seemed to be OK visually. I replaced the filter inside the fuel cell also. Anybody?

good luck even then....there is a lot of real estate for sale these days

You have to have rules. Lot of members calls for lot of rules. Few members calls for a few rules.
I try to keep it to the bare minimum of rules though. At the end of the day, I want all my members to have as much flexibility as can be allowed and everyone still enjoy the experience. But you will always have members who don't jeehaw, you'll always have some who won't do any sweat equity, some will jump at the chance to pitch in, some are observant and don't have to be reminded of simple procedures(like being ready when their slot comes up on a crowded day) some even though they probably are well-meaning people, have to be told the obvious.
But usually, it seems like all of my members have something unique and desirable that they contribute to the big picture though...be it plumbing skills, totally dependable punctuality, very positive attitude, historic knowledge of the sport...whatever it may be they all have something.

Didn't know him but sorry to hear of his passing.

rwskier, i've been running 196's for last 8 yrs(6 different ones) and i use more like 1 to 1.25 gallons for a 6-8 pass set at 34 mph. My metering system = 5 gallon jug, though...

Tesla cars have ranges of over 200 miles on a charge...this boat would only work for me if you could get at least a dozen sets per charge.
Does it look like it rides bow high or was that just my imagination?

It says they are good for cold weather...that is right up your alley

Shane, I will keep that in mind for 2012. I will keep running my 09 196 all this year. This will be my 10th season with one and it will be a sad day when it goes to another home. Takes me back about 9 yrs ago when I first got my lake up and running with the CB 196 hanging in the boathouse and a group of us talking and wondering how much longer those babys would keep coming off the assembly line. I guess the day finally got here.

they oughta do some more R&D on noise abatement...that engine screams at 34...I'd hate to hear it at 36

MattP, on second thought, you're right. Learning paragraphs is better than learning nothing at all.
I do need winter to hurry on outa here though. Seems like the older I get the longer it lasts.(that's what she said)

From the standpoint of an owner of land that has a large pond on it with skiers being towed behind a 350hp boat, I have never been able to find anybody else to write a policy for general liability. Also, I have asked around to get an umbrella over the USAWS lake owner's liability and can't find that either.
-
OB, I'm confused, was the accident covered by the sanctioned events coverage or did you have the lakeowner's liability policy?
-
Scoke, here are the coordinates for my lake (Area 41) 34.751662, -87.031417 I'd appreciate it if you could include me.

Horton, you have for sure figured out how to get us to go to the home page

Is that the_Krista on the front page? Holy smoke!

Any way to get rid of those "A" characters that crop up on the old posts? Also, does the new edition have a mobile version? I was looking at it with an iPhone and it seemed different than what was shown on the tutorial. Not a problem. It worked good. I was just curious.

Hey Ed, did you fly the BD-5 for the scenes in the 007 movie?
