  1. I have seen some pictures of @Horton on two trick skis I think he could make a big trick comeback with the new point values.
  2. Adam might be my new favorite skier to watch as a LFF skier with a 2 handed gate there is a ton of good stuff to watch.
  3. @epnault at 34 mph and 210 I find a 68” ski has plenty of support. At 230 I found a 68” D3 a little small bot not at 220 and under.
  4. That sounds like an awesome trip. Have a blast.
  5. Getting up on a trick Ski is much harder than getting up on a slalom and getting up on a pair of tricks is much harder than a pair of skis. Riding a wakeboard is much easier than a single trick. In addition trick skis are kind of hard to come by.
  6. This would work for your daughter and likely be better than the CDX and comes with bindings.
  7. For those that asked about sizing I am 6’ 200 lbs with a 44” chest and 36” waist and the XL fits me fine. @vernonreeve I think an Xl would fit you fine. When I was about 235 I could get into the XL still.
  8. I am not sure how the complexity of installs compare but I would look into heated seats instead of the heater. My friends Prostar has the heated seats and the heater and we use the seats way more.
  9. My mom used to make stuff like that back in the 70s when I was a kid. It is cool to see it again.
  10. Our ice is out which is early for us but I doubt I will be skiing in March. @OldGuysRule what is that ski you are holding onto? It looks fun.
  11. It kind of depends on my health but if my body holds up probably 3-5. In the east that is probably 10-12 rounds not every event is 3 rounds.
  12. Is there anyone on BOS who doesn't take skiing way more seriously than our spouses would like us to?
  13. Of course we do but for me that is part of what makes it fun.
  14. I am not sure what the last flip was. Very cool.
  15. i Would say something in the wider family like a Radar Senate, Union or Katana even in probably a 67 given he is going to grow. The other thing is to slow the boat way down. He should be going no faster than 24 mph to start maybe even 22. That will get him to get around more buoys. 28 or 29 is way to fast to start out. Having enough support to get around buoys without sinking is important.
  16. Great video. Her stance looks like a lff trick skier.
  17. @JackQ unless I am missing something the course isn't any longer the only change would be there are 12 turnballs in the course one on each side of the boat guides in between the entrance gates. Overall length of the course doesn't change at all. Not sure if it really makes a difference I am not sure there is a huge benefit to LFF vs RFF.
  18. Based on the video at super slow motion speeds it looks like Joel did have a tight line by the time he got back to the wakes and was through the gates. At 36 mph it in real time it may have looked different.
  19. If they don’t run any video review it is a tough call at 41 and full speed.
  20. @OscawanaSkier if that is all you need to do a Q5 will be fine. I towed my 02 LXI on a vehicle with a 3500 pound tow rating 2 miles to the launch pad to put it in in the spring then pull it in the fall. I have been in my buddy has pulled his 16 Prostar more than 30 Miles with the same vehicle. Just take it easy for the longer drive if you need to go to the dealer. For regular longer towing I agree with more vehicle but for what you need the Q5 will be fine.
  21. A dry suit is one of the things I would nut up for and buy a new one. I bought a used one once and it was never quite right.
  22. Aside from the advice regarding two skis and picking one up my advice would be different from @ScottScott. I would definitely slow the boat down once she is out of the water to let her stabilize. The skier becomes less stable as the speed increases. Also make sure her vision is focused up and on the boat. It does look like she is glancing at the water once she is up. One of my big keys with kids was always keep the eyes up. What happens in the video is somewhat similar to what happens when people start looking down to find the rear binding when dropping.
  23. I have a handle guard at home I am going to put it on for the new season.
  24. Coble's Ski School would be my first choice. I took my kids there starting when they were that age and they learned a ton and had a blast. Coble's has housing for kids and families, feed you and has additional activities for the kids. I highly recommend it for what you are looking for. Generally my kids stayed with the other kids and I stayed either with my wife or a buddy of mine that we went with. They had a lot of fun with the other kids. All told my son went probably 10 times and my daughter 5 or 6.
  25. Try connecting with @JoelHowley He is an Aussie and involved with Connelly. Maybe he knows how you can get on one down there.
