I try to save $$$ on ropes by getting them on sale or shopping around, however, THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST 1 IF NOT 2 BRAND NEW SETS READY TO GO.

I have had some heavy mold and mildew in 2 196’s
There are 2 things that will wear on upholstery: mold and the stuff that kills mold.
I use mold away and sometimes x-14 these are spray on, wait, and rinse thoroughly with water (hose usually) no scrubbing unless you want, I don’t.
im not looking for showroom mint I’m just trying to get clean and preserve my seats
twice I’ve removed a back seat in a 196 only to find massive black mold build up on the gas tank. Took apart trunk to as to access rear of gas tank. Removed that and had less trouble down the line too.
And of course avoid moisture which is tough if you like waterskiing.

If you have been running a reflex and switched to a vapor boot, we found we were running the vapor boot an 1/8 forward from where the reflex was. That was the change I made when I switched.
29 1/2 on a vapor boot equals 29 3/8 on a reflex.
dp you think this 1/4 inch compensation applies to the difference in base shape between a 2021 Vapor carbitex and the 2022 new hard shell style Vapor? Thank you.

Briefly, maybe need more time but base of new Vapor binding is different length than previous models just curious if that’s a factor.
-
For 66 29.25 is stock but seems backy to me, anyone have any different measurements?
-
I too am looking at going from old Vapor binding to new and wondering if there is compensation for the measurement the new base is definitely smaller

@alex38 that is cool I have never seen a canopy frame essentially shrink wrapped, how is it holding up?
really nice that the canopy fits inside the hoist structure for winter storage. NIce job
Got a couple pin holes that I will tape before she goes in, I left it up for the winter, for some reason it seems to almost shed wind? Is that a thing?
I would do it again, now that we know how.

@Andre oh yeah it works, in fact I have exact same canopy frame this thread starts with -and it’s frankensteined onto a shore station lift (not a shore master) best friend came over and we knocked it out There’s thicker stuff too I’m sure you know

D3 Fusion 66, pull with right arm to 1, left arm to 2 and so on. Could start with a rodeo and finish with a symphony.

Most of my shoes are 9.5, been using size 10 of every iteration of radar binding since RS-1’s.

Hi @ColeGiacopuzzi ,
just got my 23 Vapor binding (it’s crazy) and curious if I should use same measurement as the carbitex/old vapor. I measured 29.25 and it seemed to pull the boot back. Is that right? Or is there a different measurement for new binding, ty.

TY, Me too, can’t wait to try it, just realized after 25 years or so of skiing I’ve never had a ski brand new out of the box!
Thank you again Radar!- 6

Anybody running a front 22 (hardshell style) with an older regular one in rear? Ive been using these since they were RS-1s all the way to the carbitex's and never looked back.
I would like to try a front 22 with a rear Carbitex, is there any reason this would not work? TY

Snowboarding behind a snowmobile with a slalom line in 22 inches of powder somewhere in Maine is about as similar as I could get it.

I’ve discovered if you use GOJO soap as directed on bottle (without water) and scrub your callouses, it’s super fast and effective. It’s got pumice in it.

FWIW, we finally splurged on the 1” Masterline ergo even though we prefer .94, don’t notice a difference, the extra 6/100ths of an inch may even be better.
And we did have a skier with clincher style say he miss-grabbed but because of the full curve handle hung on to run his hardest pass -that’s worth any $$$ in my book.
