  1. @keithh2oskier @skiboyny @Windsurfnut I finally installed 9.2 and zbox but before I did, I noted @keithh2oskier's 12 on ball 1 setting, that really helped my SG 9.12.

I put in my 9.2s, auto calibrated, mapped, tested with no skier for timing, put in my old settings for normal 34.2 which are very close to Keith's and ran some passes without zbox engaged. Ran great so I put Zbox on B2 and it was even better, all times were tighter nothing greater than .02 variance and driver said he may have felt it was more consistent.

Not sure who it would apply to, but it really seems like boats with exact same engine configurations will have almost exact same settings, sure saved me some time and experimentation, thank you!

  2. @Windsurfnut

I do the same, if it beeps before the turn it’s not right, if I feather it and beep once I’m straight it’s perfect.

Do you think that is possible software feedback for PP?

I’m not an expert but I’m assuming it’s because when we turn the satellite thinks our water speed is dropping and increases rpms?

  3. @keithh2oskier So I just put my boat in and I have an upgrade stick for V9.2 and a Zbox to install.

I looked at my last ride from last year at 34.2 which had to be at 28 or 32 off (likely 32) this would have been september with V9.12 and no Zbox.

Ill be updating and adding Zbox soon and give you an update

@skiboyny If you have any input on those settings Ill take it as dialing is a tough target for me.

    Thank you!

  4. Sorry if I didn’t read every post and this was discussed:

I believe in fin set up but run into too many variables (proper skiing technique mostly) to apply reliable assessments (to myself or anyone else).

However, I recently switched to a heavier gauge string on my guitar. After trying to ignore the extra tension, higher action, and onset of carpal tunnel syndrome I switched back and it was like butter.

The difference on the string with the largest variance was .006 of an inch!

Off topic me if needed, I was just happy to be talking thousandths of inches about something other than skiing. Rare.

  5. That is a weird fall indeed. Recover well.

I tried to look closer at what happened but I only have my phone at the moment.

Looks like the ski hit something while on edge, maybe a turtle?

It appears that something causes the ski to lose its inside edge abruptly at a point I would not expect it.

It also looks like the ski stops stops dead in its tracks and throws you forward while you are dropping to the inside to turn.

Could the ski have hit something? A fish or turtle?

Fin setup possibly too, but that would be one extremely wrong set up if it caused that.

Fortunately, the more you practice fundamentals as mentioned above the safer AND better you will ski, even if

    you hit a turtle.
