Don’t get rear ended.

I have moved boat lifts over water with a 14’ aluminum boat, float bags and modular plastic dock. For short and moderate distances, the modular plastic dock works best. Twice a year we move four lifts with a length of my modular dock.
For the hydraulic cantilever lift, we strap the dock to the cradle and lower it so the whole lift floats.
Now I typically use the 14’ boat to tow rather than the ski boats.

I love my 08 CC 196.
Here is an add for a $25k Carbon Pro, 1,200 hours on hull 600 on motor... https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=59196

I use 3" RV Sewer Drain Hose to connect to from heaters to vents and heat tubes. I find it lasts longer than the standard thin vent tube.

I had a '99 SportStart with the 350 TBI that I enjoyed and a friend had a '98 with an LT1. Great boats, tracking is only weakness IMOP.
This thread covers the model well: https://teamtalk.mastercraft.com/showthread.php?t=14622&t=14622

What motor does the boat have? 5.0, 5.7 or 6.0...

Same hull 2003-13 (01-02 similar)

I think the evo 190/197 are great boats, the low speed long line length isn’t the only measure of a boat. They are well built, look great and track well.

I don't have experience with them, but their are weld on and bolt on kits available from a few manufacturers. I also have a non-folding trailer, but don't want to mess with the galvanizing.

The Nickwax didn’t improve my suit much, when I tried it this evening. A replacement suit a O’Neill Fluid suit is now on my wish list.
-
I also have an older O’Neil Hybris Assault suit with similar leak. I love the suit so I have been slow to replace. I thought it was the zipper leaking, but you have gotten me thinking about the upper. I wonder if Nikwax TX Direct would help on the upper part of the suit. https://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/products/tx-direct-spray-on/ It won’t help the seams though.

There is Rocky Mountain Water Ski Club in Dotsero, CO. 40 mins from Vail.

I would pass on the bass/engine warranty as well.
Is the $400 hull deck for 3 yrs or lifetime?

This is a prior thread on the topic.
I also need a replacement canopy for my RGC lift after it was damaged last season. I was ready to purchase a replacement from https://rush-co.com/products/marine-products/boat-lift-canopies/
But I delayed the purchase to conserve resources in these uncertain times.

@LeonL my 08 Limited 196 has the classic graphics as well.
-
@LeonL and @Jody_Seal I am literally in the same boat.
-
@skierjp that was my issue. It is clear Radar updated the plate to resolve the issue going forward.
-
@skierjp I don't grab the rubber putting my foot in the liner. But good thought.
I got great support from Radar on an issue I had with the Carbon/G10 plate.
-
I am using the HO Legend, I recently tried the MSN gloves but went back to HO Legend.
I tried Radar and HO inside out gloves with poor results for me.

This is what the back of my front boot looks like after the 2017, 2018, 2019 and half of the 2020 season. I take my feet out with the liners after each set, and let them dry. I never use soap. The back of my rear boot looks like new. I will likely replace the front boot at the start of next season.
-
I am on my third northern Vermont season on my Carbitex boots. The back of my front boot is breaking down, but the rear boot is holding up well. I loosen and remove my liners each time I take the boots off. I will probably replace the front boot at the start of next season.

I use Progressive.

The knock sensor is the drain. Likely some rust on that side that won’t drain. Poke something(wire or nail) in there and you will get water out.

@Davon62 at 2:08 in video the rudder is shown.

Should have a great wake. Tracking isn’t great, especially with only a driver. LT1 has lots of power for that hull. Some of the LT1 specific parts(water pump and hoses) are getting scarce.
MC Team Talk thread on that hull.

I used to own a 99 SportStar 350 Vortec TBI and a friend had a 98 SportStar with an LT1. They had similar power.
It’s April, get out and ski!!!

@Jaypro we skied on Iroquois Friday and Saturday. Earliest for me in VT since 2012, when I skied on Saint Patricks day. I even got my boat lift in a month early.
