Yep, have to start somewhere - make an offer. I'm done skiing so plenty of wiggle room on price. And think of all the hours of fun with the Instaslalom course :)

I'm looking for Exo binding mounts (front clip n rear DIN that hold the bar). If you have a set to sell plz let me know thx.
-
Appreciate the input! The ads for those skis sound about right and bigger is probably better. I'll stay with the Frankenstien'ed Exo's and see what happens.

I remember never getting hurt at 28/30mph and having a blast getting regular at -32 & making a few -35. I will be slowing the boat down this summer. Your thoughts on skis that would do well at 30mph? Thx. (185#, 6'2" older guy)

A little early to dread winter but I need to have a winter plan. Anyone know of February waterskiing spots near Anza, CA.? Last February here averaged -2.6F for the month. I don't think I'll stay for that again. Thx, Matt.

Kinda miss the passion for just a few more passes.

OK I'm bored sitting at Mayo Clinic with a family member. Lots more fun thinking about waterskiing n this was a memorably fun day; boatload of friends in a vdrive n I ran a slow -32.

Here is the last time I saw any buoys, probably 4 yes ago. Made some progress over the years but slow speed n long line was just a lot of fun.
-
No idea on speed - hand driven outboard. Probably -15 rope with a few knots :) Fun days, I think that was the third completed pass after a couple months of trying the course.

Beggining of the addiction.

Check compression. I had experience with cross-firing between cylinders twice due to head gasket leak between cylinders on 350's. Both times they presented normal operation until engine started doing some work. Both times at #8 n #6 cylinder. Hope yours is that easy!

Foot got in with full throttle first gear power. Hit something submerged and I was in the water wearing the bike on my leg. Got it off by pulling the axle n using two crowbars to spread the swing arm. Glad I was on that particularly tired old 200cc bike - I think it could have been much worse than fracture n sprain. Thx for good wishes, I get to see if it is "skiable" in the morning.

Yea I guess "chasing cows" could mean beer goggles - funny! Gotta be careful how I phrase things. I had plenty of time laying in the river to take pics n wonder how long the day was going to feel.

Just venting. So the 15th is 7months post C4-C7 fusion. Kids, grandkids have great week on the lake planned, I'm dreaming of floating the course. Ski buddies are lined up with time off. 2 days ago I do this chasing cows
. Should keep me off my back foot. :)

I think Tom King clarified "smear" 15 years ago.

Huh, guess my doc just isn't a skier. Thx for the input, it's what I wanted to hear - guess I came to the right place :)
-
I'm scheduled for C4-7 fusion n L6-3/Pars defect repair. Any (skiing) docs here that think there should be skiing in my future? Hard to imagine a non-skiing lifestyle. Thx.

Asked that question this morning - answer was drill to fit to an A3.

Update on this to exonerate seller n mfgr; my bad - Exo boots adjust lots of directions. The bindings I used on one model of step bottom ski was about 1/2" back and canted very differently from the set used on a different step bottom model. I remember spending time trying to make the skis feel similar without a lot of success. Fins were almost 0.030 diff length too. With carefull attention to setup both skis are more fun than I have had in a long time, I wouldn't be able to guess which one I was on.

I can't see where the blemish is in either ski. Didn't measure the a actual length of the ski, sticker does claim to be the same. Brought it back to home base tonight, will try it here.

Thx but I think too "radically" different for water properties to explain.
