    Funny you should bring that up, but I got talked into using some Lucas bright shine stuff on the BOTTOM of my Elite this past weekend! I thought the guy was crazy at first, but I had my best score of the year. (I don't think it was because of the shine though)

    29 9/16 2.510, 6.837, 0.777, 8 deg. This is what works for me. I moved the bindings back, then tried longer, shallower, and farther forward. None of it felt good. Went back to these numbers and it felt great. The ski is very sensitive to set up. All of the moves I mentioned were less than 8/1000's and the binding move was 1/8". Whatever works for you of course, but I got lost for awhile with the binding move. sj

    Congrats Boody!. PB's don't come often when you have been doing this sport for any length of time. I recommend lots of smiling, thinly veiled bragging, a bit of false humility, etc, etc. Now just finish off that 38 tomorrow!

    Shouldn't be a shortage of judges next year. 2 lakes and 7 days? Not hard to find judges for only two lakes. sj

    Boody, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result." You should have good drivers, probably some buds who see you ski a lot for feedback on the new stick. If you ski really well it will give you great confidence in the ski. If you don't, what the heck... you just got on it! Heck, the theme here is the "honeymoon period." If we frequently ski well on new skis right at first, why not get some scores out of it? No down side as far as I can see. Ride it and let us know how it went on Monday. sj

    I think 2 years max. (180# and 28-39)I used to get a new Goode every 2 years. 9100, 9300, couple of 9500's, 9700. I actually rode 9100's for about 5 years. I still have the last one. I bought it used with about 40 holes in it for $100. I used it for 3 seasons and I swear if I pulled it out today it would still have plenty of zip. (I still have it) sj

    Scoke. You actually inspired me to pull the trick out. I have been waiting on a fin and just driving the boat this week. After seeing your post I chased the spiders out of my crusty old HO binding and rode the trick last night. To the best of my recollection it has been 2-3 years since I was on it. I ran a pass down (I am a slalom skier after all) and did a few tricks on the way back. Should have gone in at that point but didn't. Crap trick falls sting! I think I would rather eat it at 39. sjÂÂ

    It will or it won't. 6 sets should be more than enough. If you are still trying stuff after that it may not be for you. (So long as your base set up numbers are close) sj
