  1. Selling my 2021 Radar Vapor Pro Build 66" Asking $499 USD obo Minor scratches, no issues. Amazing ski, Just got the 24! Never left in the sun and always in a sock, fin guard and case! Located in Toronto, will ship.
  2. I think you are making a grave mistake painting these groups and specifically that one in this light. It does indeed come across as very elitist. I just took a look at that page just now and the top 20 or so posts are ALL posts you'd have seen on this site over the years. I feel less so today, and all of those posters could be considered potential hard course skiers or your target demographic Growth in this sport is going to come from those people, not the few posters remaining on this forum, anecdotally at least I feel content and contribution is way down (from someone who's been on here since about day 1). I can't stand social media, I basically only use it for waterskiing content, it's imperative for the growth and future of the sport to be utilizing it, as you noted TV is out, print is out. What's next?
  3. LS It turned better at 29 1/4 than fwd of stock but like a bucking bronco. 2.465. 6.94. .755. 9 deg. 29 3/8 fb
  4. Thanks for sharing. My first thought was the ski drives you more than the previous vapors I've been riding. Felt like I couldn't turn it at stock settings and binding 1/4 back at 29.25 Moved FB up an 1/8" and fin fwd to .755. ran some of the easiest passes I ever have including a pretty routine feeling 35 for me. Stoked!
  5. Looking for some insight into what to think about this ski. I picked up a '24 66". I'm 160-165lbs 5'10 and ski at 34.2 through -35 on a good day. Pb is 4@35 in a record tournament (last week on my 66" 21 vapor pro) My first few passes felt great 22-28 off, like butter and comfortable. I set it up factory long and shallow which is where I've run my last 2 vapors (18 and 21). Started at 29.5fb, went fwd to 29 5/8 (max fwd) then back to 29.25. felt like fb back was the move for sure. At my 32 off pass the ski gets wide and early with a really smooth cast out to the buoy with not much work but I'm finding this ski is much more sensitive to weight distribution than any other vapor I've ridden. I run this pass 90% typically. Onside is either super smooth or I'm getting bucked fwd. Offside if I'm at all back on the ski it doesn't turn at all. At 35 I can't get it to turn 1 but it's a pass if I do run it, usually it's a bit of a fight. Factory LS at 6.94. 2.465. .750. 9. I'm thinking of moving the boot back up 1/8 to 29 3/8 from and fin fwd to .755. Thoughts?
  6. Awesome, thanks Cole! website says "Franz's Training Centre" so that makes sense! Good to hear there are some very knowledgeable skiers looking to utilize such an amazing lake! Skied with Mike many times a number of years ago, always loved skiing there.
  7. anybody skied at McCormicks (now The Cove)? Website shows skiing available... https://www.thecovetampa.com/ski
  8. bumping this up. Considering a first time trip to Austin in late October. Any skiing still going on at that time and availability to pull some sets?
  9. I took a nasty otf early this season and believe it was because there was some play in the toe and as the ski flexed it released. I just wrapped the bar in duct tape. That's a more attractive option though!
  10. Where did you get that toe bar? Different from the one that came with my radar plate/840 release.
  11. This is the way. Weights are absolutely way worse to use for a portable. I get about 3 or 4 summers out of them. They freeze in the winter no issues. the key is not to over inflate with air! Put a bit of air in it then fill with water. I keep the sprayer on the boat. So easy.
  12. Been using it for 3 or 4 ye at a religiously. Also would hate to see it go. I'm not a tech guy either but would take it on if no one else will so it doesn’t go anywhere!
  13. It's in Canada but boats being allowed on lakes has nothing to do with Waterski Canada. There are reasources they can provide with respect to setting up courses, but even that is quite limited.
  14. Totally out of its jurisdiction.
  15. They definitely do stir up the bottom. At least to 3 or 4' depth. So does swimming though....
