What about the ladies? Whitney had 1@41, Allie Nicholson 4 1/2@39, but there was a tie between Neilly, and Allie Garcia, with 2@39, for third best score.

So not a single one of the guys that ran 4@41 yesterday got a more than 2.5@39 in round two, all going down early. This is how conspiracy theories begin.
I was about to comment on this. It makes me wonder, since they were the last four to ski today, if conditions suddenly deteriorated, or perhaps there was some opt ups going on?

Make that 7! Joel 4@41

There’s now six guys with 4@41. Will just joined the crowd!

And Dane just made it four with four…so far!

It was a touching gesture from Clint Stadlbaur to request a moment of silence to honor Bill, prior to Sunday’s awards ceremony at Swiss. Clint noted that Bill had been chief judge the first two years of the Swiss Pro Slalom. Bill was a fine man, who loved our sport RIP, Bill.

That feels like a lot! Most man made lakes I've skied on have been quite shallow in the course (4-5ft)
As someone else who’s dug a ski lake that’s at least eight feet deep, there’s another advantage besides safety. Your ski sits in deeper.

I never heard who the TWBC Skier of the Day was. Pato set a pending world record. Mati got his first pro win at a really young age. Both are notable performances. On the women's side, Erica Lange skied great. I'd vote for the pending world record and Pato Font as the skier of the day, even though he came in 3rd in the finals. Curious to know how that audience poll went.
Martin Larba won Skier of the Day. Lots of deserving candidates though!

"This boat is not equipped with a battery"
What they meant to say was “Batteries not included.” (Every parent’s nightmare to learn on Christmas Eve.)

Who provided the skiing video? Show skiing? Oh well, at least the guys in studio did a good job.

The second update above corrects my earlier statement. It’s not just the +35 men that they’ve expanded, also females.

@Horton Yeah, me too.

The above email was sent February 2. Prior to the email announcing qualified skiers. Item 1 explains the expanded list for 35+ Mens Slalom ONLY, due to the inclusion of the pro skiers to this list. I’m not sure when these skiers first appeared on this list. This may be the first time. In the past, you would only have been included on this list if you had skied a record tournament at 55k, whether in your age division, or Masters Men.

Not encouraging
My opinion after listening to this podcast was the opposite. Sure, we’ve got lots of issues. I didn’t feel Kevin tried to sugarcoat anything. He genuinely seems to want to heard from anyone wanting to reach out. He has some fresh ideas, and a broad background in towed water sports. He has tremendous contacts in the water sports, and boating industry. I’m hopeful.

I really like that he has an extensive background in the watersports industry. I wish Kevin all the best in his new position!

Little birdie tells me that this will be Regina's second-ever trip to Moomba.
“Return to Baseline” article states that it’s Regina’s first trip to Moomba in more than a decade, and that she’s seeking her first title.
