  1. As someone else who’s dug a ski lake that’s at least eight feet deep, there’s another advantage besides safety. Your ski sits in deeper.
  2. Martin Larba won Skier of the Day. Lots of deserving candidates though!
  3. What they meant to say was “Batteries not included.” (Every parent’s nightmare to learn on Christmas Eve.)
  4. Congratulations to Regina, and to Nautique!
  5. I’m not sure. Once I know more, I’ll share it here.
  6. There’s conversation about a drivers clinic happening in Indiana.
  7. Who provided the skiing video? Show skiing? Oh well, at least the guys in studio did a good job.
  8. The second update above corrects my earlier statement. It’s not just the +35 men that they’ve expanded, also females.
  9. The above email was sent February 2. Prior to the email announcing qualified skiers. Item 1 explains the expanded list for 35+ Mens Slalom ONLY, due to the inclusion of the pro skiers to this list. I’m not sure when these skiers first appeared on this list. This may be the first time. In the past, you would only have been included on this list if you had skied a record tournament at 55k, whether in your age division, or Masters Men.
  10. My opinion after listening to this podcast was the opposite. Sure, we’ve got lots of issues. I didn’t feel Kevin tried to sugarcoat anything. He genuinely seems to want to heard from anyone wanting to reach out. He has some fresh ideas, and a broad background in towed water sports. He has tremendous contacts in the water sports, and boating industry. I’m hopeful.
  11. I really like that he has an extensive background in the watersports industry. I wish Kevin all the best in his new position!
  12. “Return to Baseline” article states that it’s Regina’s first trip to Moomba in more than a decade, and that she’s seeking her first title.
  13. I disagree agree @Horton that just because most over 35 pros,or former pros, choose not to ski 34 mph in tournament, that whoever does, shouldn’t have their performance recognized.
  14. That’s correct @Jody_Seal IWWF only maintains division records for scores achieved in the 35+ world championships. So event records, but not world records, per se.
  15. The Elite was capable of producing big scores, and also, at times, near death experiences!
  16. This is what I get when I try clicking “Unread Content”.
  17. Thanks for sharing stories about your dad with us,Mike. I always shook my head in amazement when he did that hip slide, and ended up skiing away! It’s impossible to verbalize the impact your dad had on our sport. Not only as a skier, but more importantly for the person he was.
  18. Thanks for all you and your crew do, and do so well, for your customers, Bill!
  19. I have zero knowledge of permitting a slalom course in Florida. I would think a Google search would provide information. It’s probably under the jurisdiction of the Dept. of Natural Resources, or whatever it’s known as in Florida. You may also have to get signatures from a certain percentage of the lake property owners. The fact that there were courses on the lake in the past, may help your chances for approval. Does your neighbor know if the old courses were permanent? If they were, the anchors may still be in place. If you do go the portable/cable type route, you don’t have remove it, once installed, unless you’re only able to get permission for a course that must be removed when not in use. Jon Travers, obviously is an excellent source for all things slalom courses. Good luck!
  20. Yep! Western “Wood” didn’t fit as a name for honeycomb skis, but “Stinger” did.
