@lpskier   I know lots of guys do that.  It was the whole concept of the “Master Bootfitter” that got me wondering.    These guys are trained,

Earlier this week I purchased new snow ski boots.    I was in the chair for about 2.5 hours while the Master Bootfitter did countless measurements,  adjustments, observations, back and forth feedback, etc.  He worked very hard to compensate for physical issues, bow legs, stiff ankles, compromised knees, and a handful of other issues, with the goal of insuring I would have equal access to both edges of both skis, with balance and minimum effort required, to insure the boots were working for me and not against me.    I started wondering if the same kind of detailed and deliberate approach to fitting could be applied to waterski boots, especially with the wide acceptance of hard shell boots.   Maybe it already is????   Any of you all heard of this in the H2O world of skiing.  Anybody actually doing this??

@ColeGiacopuzzi the Senate vs Vapor choice can get a bit personal depending on sizing.   A 65 inch Senate is recommended for me, as is a 66 inch Vapor.   At that sizing the Senate is 1/10th +or- wider. So the trade off is 1 inch in length vs 1/10th in width.    A bit more flotation vs a quicker edge change and a bit more edge.    Overthinking????

I’ve been on the 2020 senate since august 2019.   Never skied as well, or as consistent, as I did on the 2016 Vapor which I was on previously.   I’m going to get on the new Vapor to give it a try, hoping to get that consistency back.   I’m 70, skiing at 32mph by mid season, starting season at 30mph.

@Horton so sounds like the ski is quite sensitive to fin and binding settings.

What settings did you start with 

I notice the handle control, starting with her glide phase its right on her hip with a fairly straight right arm.  She always brings it back after her reach at each ball.

Eventually, if we stick with the sport, we’ll all ski at 30mph .

Thanks @lpskier    I’ve contacted them a few days ago.   I have not heard back yet.    

I am planning on visiting with relatives in Baton Rouge this season and on google Maps found Ski Ranch in Covington La.    Wondering if anyone has info on this lake,  who owns it, contacts, etc.   It would be great to have a couple of pulls during my visit if that is possible or even allowed.    Thanks for any info.
